Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Goal, assist for Baby Pens
Poulin scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-3 win over Bridgeport on Saturday.
Poulin is off to a hot start with the minor-league team, earning a goal and five points over four games. He put up 43 points in 57 regular-season AHL outings last year, as well as one assist in seven NHL games. At 24 years old, he's not the youngest of prospects anymore, but he could still be part of Pittsburgh's NHL-level youth movement if he continues to play well in the AHL.

Penguins' Ville Koivunen: Pair of points in win
Koivunen scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 6-3 win over Bridgeport on Saturday.
Koivunen got a taste of NHL action to begin the year before he was sent down to the Baby Pens. In Pittsburgh, he played in two games, but he's earned four points over three AHL outings since his demotion. The 22-year-old has plenty of scoring potential, and if he can show it consistently, it shouldn't take him long to get back to the big club.

Penguins' Kris Letang: Sets up opening goal
Letang registered an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.
Letang's helper was his first point in six outings this season. He had an injury scare against the Rangers on Oct. 11, but he's been fine during the Penguins' road trip through California, playing in his usual top-four role. The defenseman has added six shots on net, nine blocked shots, eight hits and a plus-3 rating to begin the campaign, but he'll need more offense to be reliable in fantasy.

Penguins' Anthony Mantha: Adds insurance tally
Mantha scored a goal on five shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.
Mantha has scored twice over the last three games. The 31-year-old is up to four points, 13 shots on net, five hits, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through six contests overall. Playing in a second-line role is suiting the winger well, especially when he seems to have brought out the best in linemates Evgeni Malkin and Justin Brazeau, who helped out on his tally Saturday. That's a physically challenging line to play against, and it's working out for the 4-2-0 Penguins in their unexpectedly strong start to the season.

Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Goal, assist in Saturday's win
Malkin scored an empty-net goal, dished an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.
Malkin has scored in back-to-back games and has multiple points in three of six outings this season. He helped out on an Anthony Mantha goal earlier in the third period before scoring his empty-netter in the final minute. Malkin has two goals, seven helpers, 12 shots on net, three hits and a plus-1 rating to begin 2025-26. He'll likely have some ups and downs throughout the campaign, but he's worth rostering in fantasy as long as his offense stays up.

Penguins' Sidney Crosby: One of each in win
Crosby scored a goal, dished an assist, added two PIM and went plus-2 in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.
Crosby opened the scoring with a tip-in goal at 7:35 of the second period. He also set up Evgeni Malkin's empty-netter in the third. With three multi-point efforts in six games, Crosby is not slowing down in his age-38 campaign. He has three goals, four assists, nine shots on net, eight PIM, a plus-1 rating, five hits and three blocked shots to begin the year.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: Posts shutout win
Jarry recorded a 31-save shutout in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Sharks.
Jarry has now won two of his three starts on the year. The Sharks generated some chances, but Jarry was up to the task, outdueling former teammate Alex Nedeljkovic in the other crease. For the season, Jarry has allowed seven goals on 90 shots. Consistency will be key, and that could be tough to find, but the Penguins have been better than expected early on under new head coach Dan Muse. If the goalie rotation continues, Arturs Silovs would face his old team, the Canucks, on Tuesday, before Jarry gets the nod against the struggling defending champions, the Panthers, on Thursday.

Penguins' Cruz Lucius: Keeps scoring in loss
Lucius scored twice on three shots in Arizona State University's 5-2 loss to Augustana University on Saturday.
Lucius had three points on the Sun Devils' four goals this weekend, but they were swept in the two-game set by Augustana. The 21-year-old Penguins prospect has had a nose for the net early in 2025-26, racking up six goals and a helper over six games in his senior year of college. If he keeps this up, he could be part of Pittsburgh's youth movement with an NHL audition in the spring.

Penguins' Tristan Jarry: First off Saturday
Jarry was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, Max Miller of NHL.com reports, indicating he will guard the road goal against San Jose on Saturday.
Jarry is coming off an 18-save effort in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. He has a 1-1-0 record this season while surrendering seven goals on 59 shots. San Jose has found the back of the net 13 times through four games this campaign.

Penguins' Will Horcoff: Driving force in win
Horcoff scored a goal on six shots and added two assists in the University of Michigan's 10-2 win over Robert Morris University on Friday.
Horcoff has six goals and three assists in just six games for the Wolverines as a sophomore this year. He put up 10 points in 18 outings as a freshman in 2024-25, so it's clear his offense has taken a step up. He continues to be an excellent net-front presence, which will help him pile up goals once he gets to the professional ranks.

Penguins' Danton Heinen: Draws three assists in AHL win
Heinen recorded three assists in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 5-2 win over Hartford on Friday.
Heinen has four helpers over three games with the farm team to begin the AHL campaign. He hasn't been in the minors since 2017-18, most recently earning 29 points over 79 regular-season outings in 2024-25 between the Canucks and the Penguins. Should the injury bug bite Pittsburgh, Heinen would be an experienced option for a call-up to fill a bottom-six role.

Penguins' Noel Acciari: Puts up helper
Acciari notched an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Acciari has played in four of five games for the Penguins to begin the year, though he is likely to rotate in and out of the lineup throughout the campaign. The 33-year-old has a helper, four shots on net, nine hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. Acciari's defensive acumen has some value, as does his experience, but the Penguins are looking to see what they can get out of their younger players, which could end up limiting his playing time.

Penguins' Bryan Rust: Helpers in consecutive contests
Rust notched a power-play assist and five shots on goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Rust has a helper in each of the last two games, accounting for all of his offense through three contests. He missed two games due to a lower-body injury at the start of the season. Rust has supplied nine shots on net, seven blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating and looks to be a lock on the first line and top power-play unit.

Penguins' Parker Wotherspoon: Notches pair of helpers
Wotherspoon logged two assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Wotherspoon has filled a top-four role to start 2025-26, but this was his first contribution on offense. The 28-year-old has added four shots on net, seven hits, six blocked shots, six PIM and a minus-1 rating while primarily playing alongside Erik Karlsson. Wotherspoon had a total of 15 points over 96 regular-season outings with the Bruins in the previous two campaigns, so he's unlikely to generate enough offense to help in most fantasy formats even if he ends up with a career year.

Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Provides two assists
Karlsson registered two assists in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Karlsson has started slow in 2025-26, as these helpers were his first two points of the campaign. The 35-year-old blueliner has added seven shots on net, five blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over five appearances. The Penguins have a fairly inexperienced blue line this season, which will offer Karlsson plenty of opportunities in a top-four role and on the first power-play unit, where he earned one of his helpers Thursday.

Penguins' Filip Hallander: First NHL goal comes shorthanded
Hallander scored a shorthanded goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Hallander scored his first NHL goal, and it was a big one. He tallied at 6:50 of the third period while the Penguins were shorthanded, and his goal stood as the game-winner. The 25-year-old has contributed two points with six shots and a plus-1 rating across four appearances this season. While he's not standing out all that much, he's doing enough to maintain a place in the Penguins' bottom six.

Penguins' Connor Dewar: Nets tying goal
Dewar scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Dewar scored his first goal of the season at 7:18 of the second period, tying the game at 2-2 just 41 seconds after Evgeni Malkin got the Penguins on the board. The 26-year-old Dewar has occupied a bottom-six role to begin 2025-26, earning two points, seven shots on net, 10 hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through five appearances. While he looks to be a regular in the lineup, he'd need to earn a larger role to get on the fantasy radar.

Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Strikes on power play in win
Malkin scored a power-play goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Kings.
Malkin has started 2025-26 in good form, but his goal at 6:37 of the second period was his first of the campaign. The 39-year-old has added six assists, 11 shots on net and a minus-1 rating over five contests while getting on the scoresheet in four of them. While age-related declines on offense have been noticeable in the last few years, Malkin is still highly talented, so bursts of production shouldn't be too shocking.
