Jets' Mason Taylor: Involved with Wilson absent
Taylor recorded three receptions on five targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers.
Taylor stepped up as expected in the absence of Garrett Wilson (knee), though the quarterback play held back his stat line. He finished second on the team in targets behind Josh Reynolds despite not getting any looks until midway through the third quarter with Tyrod Taylor under center. Taylor has shown some promise in his rookie season, but it's difficult to trust any Jets pass catcher while Wilson is sidelined and the signal caller remains in flux.

Jets' Josh Reynolds: Ugly showing on nine targets
Reynolds recorded three receptions on nine targets for 29 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers.
Reynolds led the team in targets in the absence of Garrett Wilson (knee), though he couldn't translate that into production with either Tyrod Taylor or Justin Fields. Reynolds' longest catch of the day went for only 12 yards, and he was also the target on both of Taylor's interceptions in the game. Even if Wilson remains sidelined in Week 8 against the Bengals, Reynolds will be an unreliable fantasy contributor.

Jets' Tyrod Taylor: Enters in relief of Fields
Taylor completed 10 of 22 passes for 126 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers. He added three rushes for 11 yards.
Taylor replaced Justin Fields to start the third quarter and brought some life to the offense, accounting for most of the Jets' offensive production. However, he was also intercepted twice while a comeback was still possible, negating his positive work. Despite the inconsistent results, Taylor could be in line for a Week 8 start against the Bengals, as coach Aaron Glenn stated he will evaluate the position throughout the week, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.

Jets' Nick Folk: Hits two field goals in loss
Folk made both of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers.
The kicker connected from 34 yards in the second quarter and from 47 in the fourth. Folk is 14-of-14 on field goals and 7-of-7 on extra points in 2025, but the Jets' struggling offense limits his opportunities.

Jets' Justin Fields: Benched at halftime
Fields completed six of 12 passes for 46 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers. He rushed the ball four times for 22 yards.
Fields struggled to get the offense moving, as the Jets picked up only six first downs and 97 net yards through the first two quarters. He was benched coming out of the half in favor of Tyrod Taylor, though Taylor wasn't much more effective, throwing two interceptions to doom any chance of a Jets comeback. After the game, coach Aaron Glenn didn't commit to a quarterback for the Jets' Week 8 matchup against the Bengals, instead saying it would be a position he needs to evaluate, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.

Jets' Breece Hall: Held to 52 total yards
Hall rushed the ball 11 times for 38 yards in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers. He added two receptions on three targets for 14 yards.
The Jets had an abysmal offensive showing, mustering only 220 net yards on 60 plays. Hall was a part of that, though he had very little running room as the offense offered minimal threat through the passing game. His longest gain from scrimmage was only eight yards, and Hall has now been held below 60 total yards in four of seven games this season. Given that he's also yet to find the end zone, his fantasy output has been very volatile.

Jets' Sauce Gardner: Diagnosed with concussion
Head coach Aaron Glenn said after Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Panthers that Gardner has entered the league's concussion protocol, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Gardner took a hit to the head during the second half of Sunday's game. Now that he's in the league's five-step concussion protocol, Gardner would have to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to be available for the Jets' Week 8 road clash against the Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 26. Jarvis Brownlee would be the next man up at outside corner if Gardner misses time.

Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Won't return Week 7
Nwangwu (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Nwangwu went to the locker room to be evaluated for a concussion, and the 2021 fourth-rounder will not return to Sunday's contest. Isaiah Williams will likely handle returns on kickoffs the rest of the way.

Jets' Sauce Gardner: Possible concussion
Gardner is being evaluated for a possible concussion Sunday versus the Panthers, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Gardner took a blow to the head in the second half of Sunday's matchup, and his status for the rest of the game is now uncertain. In his absence, Jarvis Brownlee is a top candidate to see an increase in workload at cornerback.

Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Possible concussion
Nwangwu went to the locker room during Sunday's game against the Panthers to be evaluated for a potential concussion, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Jets' Jay Tufele: Leaves game with knee injury
Tufele (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Panthers.
Tufele sustained a knee injury early in the third quarter, and he'll be evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return. Jowon Briggs will be the Jets' lone rotational option at defensive tackle if Tufele is unable to return.

Jets' Ja'Markis Weston: Cleared to return for Week 7
Weston is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers.
The undrafted rookie was removed from injured reserve and completed a full practice Friday. Free of the groin injury that sent him to the injured reserve, Weston will bolster the Jets linebacker depth. He officially will make his NFL regular-season debut Sunday.
