Hawks' Keaton Wallace: Converted to standard deal
Wallace's two-way contract was converted to a standard one-year deal on Saturday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Wallace apparently made a strong impression on the coaching staff during training camp. Across four preseason appearances, Wallace averaged 5.5 points, 5.0 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 16.6 minutes per contest.

Hawks' Trae Young: Records double-double Thursday
Young finished with 12 points (4-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes during Thursday's preseason loss to the Rockets.
After sitting out Monday's preseason game against the Heat, Young returned to action Thursday. In what was Atlanta's preseason finale, Young delivered a typical performance, albeit an inefficient one. The 2025-26 version of the Hawks could very well be the best collection of talent since Young was drafted. With so many offensive weapons, Young could very well lead the league in assists once again, making him a solid top-15 fantasy target.

Hawks' Zaccharie Risacher: Scores team-high 24 points
Risacher produced 24 points (10-18 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 25 minutes during Thursday's preseason loss to Houston.
Risacher returned to the court after missing the previous game due to rest purposes. He twisted his ankle on the final play of the first half, but he started the second half and didn't miss a beat, leading the Hawks with 24 points in just 25 minutes. Atlanta is poised to make a push this season, following the offseason acquisition of Kristaps Porzingis, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard. However, a portion of the team's success could hinge on the improved play of Risacher following what was a serviceable rookie campaign.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Drops 17 points in spot start
Alexander-Walker closed with 17 points (6-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 28 minutes during Thursday's preseason loss to the Rockets.
Alexander-Walker moved into the starting lineup, replacing Dyson Daniels, who was given the night off. Alexander-Walker ended as one of four Hawks players to score double-digits, an encouraging sign following his offseason move from Minnesota. He is slated to come off the bench, likely serving as a primary backup like Luke Kennard. While he typically won't play enough to be considered in standard fantasy drafts, Alexander-Walker is certainly more than capable of producing fantasy-worthy numbers, if and when he is handed a larger role.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Looks sharp in preseason finale
Porzingis tallied 23 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists and one block over 28 minutes during Thursday's 133-115 preseason loss to the Rockets.
Porzingis received one more opportunity to prove that he's ready for the regular season, with the coaching staff giving four of the five starters 28 minutes on the court. The big man didn't disappoint in his final tune-up, securing a double-double by shooting with efficiency and being a constant presence on the glass. Porzingis and the Hawks will now get a short breather before taking the court for the 2025-26 regular-season opener Wednesday against Toronto.
