Jazz's Keyonte George: Paces scoring attack in victory
George registered 20 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists, two steals and one block across 26 minutes during Thursday's 132-129 win over the Trail Blazers.
George needed only 11 attempts from the field to lead the Jazz in scoring, adding nine of his 20 points from beyond the arc. This was a much-improved showing for the 21-year-old, who had been held to nine points in 23 minutes during Monday's exhibition against the Mavericks. George will look to take yet another step forward during the 2025-26 campaign after averaging 16.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 67 games a season ago.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Flirts with triple-double
Kessler finished with 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks across 26 minutes during Thursday's 132-129 preseason win over the Trail Blazers.
Kessler turned in a strong effort on the offensive end, reaching double figures with ease while grabbing half of his rebounds on the offensive glass. He was nearly as productive defensively, swatting away a team-high two blocks and accounting for two of nine Utah steals. Kessler's solid performance across the board was a reassuring sight for the Jazz after Kessler sat out most of training camp due to a shoulder injury.

Jazz's Kyle Filipowski: Starting Thursday
Filipowski is in the starting lineup for Thursday's exhibition against Portland.
Filipowski will be joined in the first unit by Svi Mykhailiuk, Keyonte George, Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler. While Filipowski will draw a start in Thursday's exhibition, he's expected to come off the bench in Utah this season.

Jazz's Jusuf Nurkic: Slated for reserve role Thursday
Nurkic isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against Portland.
Nurkic is fresh off an impressive double-double Monday against Dallas but will move to the bench to make room for Walker Kessler, who'll be making his preseason debut after missing time due to a shoulder injury. Despite a strong preseason, Nurkic is slated to be the backup center behind Kessler during the 2025-26 campaign.

Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Starting Thursday
Mykhailiuk will start in Thursday's preseason game against Portland.
With Ace Bailey (knee) sidelined, Mykhailiuk will enter the starting five in Utah's preseason finale. The 28-year-old swingman appeared in 38 regular-season games (13 starts) with Utah in 2024-25, during which he averaged 8.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists across 20.0 minutes per contest.

Jazz's Taylor Hendricks: Shifting to bench
Hendricks isn't in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Trail Blazers.
Hendricks isn't listed in the starting five for the first time this preseason, as the team has evidently seen all they needed to see out of the UCF product with the first unit. He tallied 14 points, five rebounds, three assists and one steal in Monday's exhibition against the Mavericks.

Jazz's Kyle Anderson: Ruled out for Thursday
Anderson (knee) won't play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Trail Blazers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
The veteran forward will miss his chance at a final tune-up in Utah's exhibition finale. Anderson's next opportunity to gain clearance won't come until the regular season, which begins Wednesday against the Clippers.

Jazz's Isaiah Collier: Another absence coming
Collier (hamstring) won't play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Trail Blazers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
A hamstring injury has cost Collier the entire preseason. The floor general's status appears to be in real danger for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Clippers. Keyonte George continues to start at point guard in Collier's absence.

Jazz's Ace Bailey: Out Thursday
Bailey (knee) won't play in Thursday's preseason finale against Portland, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Bailey is out with bilateral knee tendinopathy. As a result, the rookie swingman can be considered day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Clippers.

Jazz's Cody Williams: Out with illness
Williams is out for Thursday's preseason finale against Portland due to an illness, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
The forward sees his next chance to play in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Clippers. Given the nature of his ailment, Williams figures to be ready by then.

Jazz's Walker Kessler: Cleared to return to action
Kessler (shoulder) is available for Thursday's preseason finale against the Trail Blazers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
Thursday will be Kessler's preseason debut, a welcome sign after he missed each of Utah's first three exhibition tilts with a shoulder injury. The 2022 first-rounder could see a significant amount of playing time Thursday in what the Jazz could treat as a dress rehearsal for Opening Night.

Jazz's Sean East: Signing with Utah
The Jazz signed East on Tuesday.
East ended up playing internationally last season after going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft. The guard was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 G League Draft, and he could be an option for the G League's Salt Lake City Stars in 2025-26.

Jazz's Max Abmas: Cut loose by Utah
The Jazz waived Abmas (coach's decision) on Tuesday.
Despite Utah missing several key players, Abmas hasn't been part of the Jazz's preseason rotation. His next steps are expected to include playing for the G League's Salt Lake City Stars prior to the upcoming season.

Jazz's Cameron McGriff: Waived by Utah
The Jazz waived McGriff (not injury related) on Tuesday.
McGriff hasn't been able to make his preseason debut while away from the team, and he won't have the opportunity to do so at all now. However, the forward will likely join the G League's Salt Lake City Stars ahead of the new campaign.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Sees 18 minutes Monday
Markkanen scored 10 points (4-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT) with four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 18 minutes of Monday's 114-101 preseason win over the Jazz.
This was Markkanen's first appearance of the preseason after a wrist injury he sustained at EuroBasket delayed his full participation at training camp. While Markkanen's talent is undeniable, his durability and how the Jazz handle his maintenance plan in what projects to be another rebuilding year are the major question marks related to his fantasy appeal.

Jazz's Walter Clayton: Hands out seven dimes
Clayton produced six points (1-7 FG, 1-4 3pt, 5-5 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes of Monday's 114-101 preseason win over the Jazz.
Clayton shot the ball poorly Monday, but the rest of his game popped once again. Through three exhibitions, the rookie guard holds averages of 11.7 points, 5.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 27.8 minutes per contest. With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) still on the shelf, Clayton may get run on Opening Night.

Jazz's Cody Williams: Shoots ball poorly
Williams registered 13 points (5-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks in 26 minutes of Monday's 114-101 preseason loss to the Mavericks.
Williams, who is looking to bounce back from a disappointing rookie season, is shooting 38.5 percent from the field through three exhibitions. His counting stats have been decent, however, with the forward averaging 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 blocks, 0.7 steals and 0.7 three-pointers in 21.7 minutes per contest.

Jazz's Pedro Bradshaw: Lands deal with Jazz
Bradshaw agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Jazz on Tuesday, according to NBA reporter Chris Haynes.
Bradshaw was a standout player in the G League during the 2023-24 season before heading overseas. With Bradshaw joining the Jazz this late, the team is likely looking to secure his G League rights.

Jazz's Brice Sensabaugh: Efficient off bench against Mavs
Sensabaugh produced 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and an assist in 19 minutes off the bench during Monday's 114-101 preseason loss to Dallas.
Based on his preseason usage, the third-year guard appears headed for a role on the second unit to begin the season, but that seems to be suiting Sensabaugh just fine. He's averaging an impressive 22.0 points through three exhibition contests, including an 11-for-25 showing from three-point range and a 13-for-14 performance at the charity stripe. With Jordan Clarkson now a Knick, Sensabaugh appears poised to step into his sneakers as Utah's primary scoring threat off the bench.
