The Raptors waived Lawson on Thursday, but the franchise moved quickly to bring him back on a two-way contract. Lawson figures to be a prominent player with the Raptors 905 in the G League to open the season.

Mamukelashvili notably logged more playing time in the preseason finale than Jonathan Mogbo (one minute) after the starting center, Jakob Poeltl, was shut down for the rest of the night due to back stiffness. He was far more impressive as a facilitator, earning a double-double by dishing out a team-high 10 dimes. Quickly will open the 2025-26 regular season Wednesday in Atlanta as Toronto's starting point guard.

Raptors' Scottie Barnes: Scores 31 points with full line
Barnes popped off for 31 points (10-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 11-12 FT), six rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block in 35 minutes during Friday's 119-114 preseason win over the Nets.
Barnes had been struggling offensively in his previous three preseason outings, converting just 20.0 percent of his shot attempts, so it was nice to see him finally get things going in this one. He did miss both of his three-point attempts, but long-range shooting has never been a big part of his game. Barnes can rack up the stats like few others, but the key for him will be sustained health, given he missed 17 regular-season games during the 2024-25 campaign.

Barrett was the second-best scorer for the Raptors behind Scottie Barnes, who had 31 points while shooting 10-for-15 from the field.
