Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Rattled by Sabres
Bobnrovsky made 28 saves in Saturday's 3-0 loss to Buffalo.
Two of the Sabres' goals came on power plays, as Bobrovsky got little help from his teammates in the afternoon contest. The veteran netminder gave up more than two goals in a start for the first time this season, and through five appearances, Bobrovsky sports a 3-2-0 record with a 2.02 GAA and a .917 save percentage.

Panthers' Niko Mikkola: Suffers injury Saturday
Mikkola (upper body) won't return to Saturday's game against Buffalo.
Mikkola had two PIM in only 6:53 of ice time before leaving the contest. He entered Saturday's matchup with five hits and eight blocked shots across six appearances. If Mikkola can't play Tuesday against Boston, Donovan Sebrango or Tobias Bjornfot could fill in on the back end.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Starting in Buffalo
Bobrovsky will defend the road net against the Sabres on Saturday, according to Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.
Bobrovsky's three-game winning streak to open the season came to an end in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to Detroit. He allowed two goals on 23 shots, with the final two tallies being empty-netters. After scoring twice in three games to begin the year, Buffalo is coming off an 8-4 victory over Ottawa on Wednesday.

Panthers' Mikulas Hovorka: Three helpers in Friday's win
Hovorka registered three assists in AHL Charlotte's 6-2 win over Iowa on Friday.
Hovorka is in the final year of his NHL deal. The defenseman was held off the scoresheet in Charlotte's first two games of the year. The Panthers replenished their defensive depth by claiming Donovan Sebrango off waivers from the Senators earlier this week, but if Hovorka plays well for the Checkers, he could be a call-up candidate at some point.

Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Nets lone goal in loss
Rodrigues scored a goal on four shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers.
This was Rodrigues' second goal and fourth point in six games this season. The 32-year-old has been playing as a center early on, but with the Panthers' offense stagnating, he was shuffled up to a wing spot on the top line. Rodrigues has added 12 shots, six hits and four PIM, so he is shaping up to be a decent source of depth scoring and category coverage in fantasy this season.

Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Comes up short against Jersey
Tarasov turned aside 30 shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Devils.
The Panthers grabbed a 1-0 lead early in the first period, but after he allowed the tying tally to Jack Hughes on the power play in the second, Tarasov got beaten twice in the third, although there wasn't much he could have done on either goal. The 26-year-old netminder is still looking for his first win with Florida, and through two starts, he's given up six goals on 53 shots as he tries to provide some stability behind Sergei Bobrovsky.

Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Expected to start Thursday
Tarasov is set to start on the road against New Jersey on Thursday.
Tarasov is giving Sergei Bobrovsky a breather after Bobrovsky started in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to Detroit. The 26-year-old Tarasov is appearing in his second game of the season after stopping 17 of 20 shots en route to a 5-2 loss to Philadelphia on Monday. He had a 7-10-2 record, 3.55 GAA and .880 save percentage in 20 appearances with Columbus during the 2024-25 regular season.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Beaten twice Wednesday
Bobrovsky stopped 21 of the 23 shots he faced in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings. The final two goals were empty-netters in the final two minutes of the third period.
Mason Appleton and Patrick Kane found the twine behind Bobrovsky in the second period.. The Red Wings handed Bobrovsky his first defeat of the season, but he continues to play at a high level. He hasn't allowed more than two goals in any of his four starts.

Panthers' Brad Marchand: Scores in loss to Detroit
Marchand scored a goal in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings.
Marchand accounted for all the offense the Panthers could muster on Wednesday on a wraparound in the latter stages of the second period. He's on a four-game point streak, tallying three goals and two assists over that stretch.

Panthers' Donovan Sebrango: Claimed off waivers
Sebrango was claimed off waivers by Florida from Ottawa on Wednesday, per Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.
Sebrango had no points, one shot, five PIM and one hit in two appearances with Ottawa this season before being placed on waivers. He also had 20 points and 79 PIM in 50 regular-season appearances with AHL Belleville in 2024-25. Sebrango will provide Florida with a depth option due to the absence of Dmitry Kulikov, who will miss five months after undergoing surgery for an upper-body injury. Sebrango might alternate between serving on the third pairing and being a healthy scratch with his new team.

Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Slated to start Wednesday
Bobrovsky is set to start on the road against Detroit on Wednesday.
Bobrovsky has opened the campaign with a three-game winning streak while stopping 62 of 67 shots (.925 save percentage). The 37-year-old posted a 33-19-2 record, 2.44 GAA and .906 save percentage in 54 regular-season outings in 2024-25. Detroit is 2-1-0 and has scored 10 goals this year.

Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Will miss approximately five months
Kulikov underwent surgery for his upper-body injury and is expected to be shelved for at least five months, Sean Shapiro of DLLS Sports reports Wednesday.
Kulikov's extended absence is another significant injury blow to a Panthers team that is already missing forwards Aleksander Barkov (knee) and Matthew Tkachuk (groin). At this point, the veteran Kulikov could be out of the lineup until mid-March. With Kulikov unavailable for the last two games, Uvis Balinskis has been skating on the third pairing.

Panthers' Sam Bennett: Buries first goal of season
Bennett scored a goal on four shots, doled out seven hits, added four PIM and went minus-4 in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers.
The goal was Bennett's first point in four games this season. The 29-year-old may be struggling to adjust to a larger role, which he's been forced into due to the absence of Aleksander Barkov (knee). Bennett has gone minus-8 with 12 shots on net, six PIM and 11 hits to begin the year, and he's averaging 18:31 of ice time per game, which would be a career high. Until Bennett settles in or reverts to his second-line role, Anton Lundell is likely the pivot to target on the Panthers' roster.

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Two points in Monday's loss
Reinhart scored a shorthanded goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Flyers.
The veteran winger's efforts briefly tied the game at 2-2 midway through the third period, but the Panthers' offense went silent the rest of the way. Reinhart was held off the scoresheet in the first two games of the season but has two goals and three points in the last two, and Florida figures to lean on him even more heavily with Aleksander Barkov (knee) and Matthew Tkachuk (groin) both facing long absences from the lineup.
