  • Kraken's Ben Meyers: Pair of goals in loss to Condors

Meyers scored twice on three shots in AHL Coachella Valley's 5-4 overtime loss to Bakersfield on Sunday.

Meyers netted his first two goals of the year, but the Firebirds remain winless (0-2-1-0) on the season. The 26-year-old forward hasn't been at the top of the list for a call-up to the Kraken yet, even with Kaapo Kakko (hand) and Frederick Gaudreau (upper body) on injured reserve. Meyers could be an option to replace John Hayden on the roster, and he could also get a look with the big club as a spare forward if Berkly Catton is ultimately returned to his junior club.

  • Kraken's Jakub Fibigr: Collects three points in big win

Fibigr scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Brampton's 7-2 win over Erie on Sunday.

Fibigr has upped his game in his third junior campaign, earning 10 points over eight contests while adding 29 shots on net and a plus-11 rating. He's put up a trio of multi-point efforts, with Sunday's game being his best of the season. The 19-year-old blueliner could earn an entry-level contract with the Kraken at some point this year if he continues to show growth in his play.

  • Kraken's Ville Ottavainen: Called up to NHL

Ottavainen will be called up by the Kraken, The Sound of Hockey reports Sunday.

Ottavainen will get his first NHL call-up this season after Ryan Lindgren left the Kraken's 4-3 victory over the Maple Leafs early with injury Saturday. With the Kraken battling other injuries on the back end, it wouldn't be surprising to see the 23-year-old draw into the lineup right away when the team heads to Philadelphia on Monday. Should he suit up, it would be just the second NHL game of the 2021 fourth-round selection's career.

  • Kraken's Ryan Lindgren: Suffers injury Saturday

Lindgren (upper body) sustained an injury in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Toronto, per Sound of Hockey.

Lindgren was struck in the face by the puck late in the third period. Seattle recalled Ville Ottavainen from AHL Coachella Valley on Sunday as a potential replacement for Monday's matchup against Philadelphia. The 27-year-old Lindgren has one assist and 14 blocked shots across five games this season.

  • Kraken's Eeli Tolvanen: Adds assist in overtime win

Tolvanen notched an assist and four hits in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.

The helper was his first point in five games this season. Tolvanen set up Vince Dunn's tally late in the second period. The 26-year-old Tolvanen has been quietly skating in a middle-six role with time on the second power-play unit, giving him some fantasy appeal as a power winger if he can get his offense going. He's already picked up five shots on net, 20 hits, four blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. Tolvanen has posted point totals of 41 and 35 in the last two campaigns, so there's some potential here.

  • Kraken's Josh Mahura: Ends 134-game goalless drought

Mahura scored the game-winning goal in overtime in a 4-3 victory over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

He cut around William Nylander and fired the puck past Anthony Stolarz from the slot to win the game. Mahura ended a streak of 134 regular-season games without a goal. His last tally came on Jan. 17, 2023, when he was with Florida. Interestingly, Mahura played in Scotiabank Arena against the Maple Leafs that night, too.

  • Kraken's Vince Dunn: Adds to scoring lead

Dunn scored a goal in a 4-3 overtime win over Toronto on Saturday.

Dunn one-timed a pass from Eeli Tolvanen from the top of the right faceoff circle late in the second period. The goal frustrated Leafs netminder Anthony Stolarz, who was bowled over on the play when his own defender, Brandon Carlo, pushed Jaden Schwartz into the netminder. Dunn leads the Kraken with five points (two goals, three assists) in five games.

  • Kraken's Jani Nyman: Second goal in last three games

Nyman scored a goal in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Maple Leafs.

Nyman one-timed a pass in the slot from Mason Marchment to put the Kraken up 2-1 at 14:29 of the second period. The 21-year-old winger has two goals and four shots in his last three games. Nyman's average ice time this season is down to 9:06, which is almost five minutes less than his 13:59 average in 12 contests last season. The young winger has talent, but his role needs to increase, or he could end up as a healthy scratch.

  • Kraken's Shane Wright: Three-game, four-point streak

Wright had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime win over Toronto on Saturday.

Wright put the Kraken up 1-0 at 7:29 of the first period when he put a rebound into a wide-open net from below the left faceoff dot while on the power play. It was his 100th game. Wright is on a three-game, four-point (two goals, two assists) scoring streak. He's among seven Kraken with four points this season.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Remains unbeaten in regulation

Daccord made 26 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

John Tavares beat him twice, and Morgan Rielly had one snipe. Daccord is off to a sharp start this season, and he remains unbeaten in regulation. He's 3-0-1 with a 2.39 GAA and a .912 save percentage. No more Daccord doubters -- ride this wave.

  • Kraken's Mason Marchment: Off to great start this season

Marchment had two assists in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over Toronto.

He has three assists in his last two games. Marchment is off to a strong start this season. His four points (one goal, three assists) in five games put him on an unsustainable pace, but there's plenty of room for Marchment to get close to his career mark (53 points; 2023-24).

  • Kraken's Chandler Stephenson: Four points in last two games

Stephenson had two assists in a 4-3 overtime victory over the Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Stephenson has four points (two goals, two assists) in the past two games. He's coming off two consecutive 51-point campaigns, and he has delivered 60-point performances in the past. Stephenson is 31, so he may not climb back to the height of those two high-water regular seasons. Still, he's outstanding at the dot and was among league leaders (eighth overall) for faceoff wins in 2024-25.

  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Set to face Toronto

Daccord will defend the road net against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, Geoff Baker of the Kraken's official site reports.

Daccord will return to the crease after being a healthy scratch in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to Ottawa. He played in Seattle's first three games, stopping 78 of 85 shots en route to a 2-0-1 record. Toronto has won two straight contests, and the team has outscored the opposition by a 9-5 margin over that span.

  • Kraken's Brandon Montour: Taking leave of absence

Montour will be taking a temporary leave of absence to deal with a family matter and will not play Saturday in Toronto.

Montour is off to a strong start with four assists and 11 shots on goal in the Kraken's first four games. Cale Fleury is expected to enter the lineup in Montour's absence.

  • Kraken's Frederick Gaudreau: Out 4-6 weeks

Gaudreau will be out of action four to six weeks with an upper-body injury.

Gaudreau was placed on injured reserve by Seattle on Friday after suffering the injury against the Senators on Thursday. John Hayden was brought up in a corresponding move and could replace Gaudreau in the lineup if Berkly Catton doesn't receive a chance to make his NHL debut.

  • Kraken's Nathan Villeneuve: Three more points for Sudbury

Villenueve scored a goal and added two assists in OHL Sudbury's 4-2 win over Sault Ste. Marie on Friday.

Villenueve has a pair of three-point efforts through four games this season, earning a goal and five assists. Consistently dominant offense would be preferred, but showcasing this level of talent even on occasion is still fine. The center also won 11 of his 14 faceoffs Friday. Most importantly, the 19-year-old is showing no signs of the lower-body injury that bothered him while he was in the Kraken's training camp.

... See More ... See Less
  • Kraken's Jordan Eberle: Gathers power-play helper

Eberle notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Senators.

Eberle is still looking for his first goal in 2025-26, but he has earned three assists over four games. He's playing with Matty Beniers and Jared McCann on the top line. In addition to the points, Eberle has racked up 11 shots on net, six hits, three blocked shots and two PIM. Most Kraken players aren't standouts in fantasy, but the 35-year-old winger still has enough offense to fill a depth role on virtual rosters.
