Kneeland earned the questionable tag for Week 7 after being limited in practice all week due to an ankle injury that he aggravated in Week 6. He has not been cleared to play Sunday after going through pregame warmups, which means Jadeveon Clowney, James Houston and rookie second-rounder Donovan Ezeiruaku should see more rotational snaps at defensive end in Kneeland's absence.

Kneeland (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Kneeland was limited in practice all week due to an ankle injury that he aggravated against the Panthers in Week 6. His status for Sunday's NFC East tilt may not be known until the Cowboys announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. James Houston, Jadeveon Clowney and rookie second-rounder Donovan Ezeiruaku would be in line to see more snaps at defensive end if Kneeland is not cleared to play.

Kneeland (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
Kneeland aggravated an ankle injury during the Cowboys' Week 6 loss to the Panthers, and he finished that contest with three tackles (two solo) while playing just 20 snaps on defense. The 2024 second-rounder was able to log a limited practice Wednesday and would likely be cleared to play against Washington on Sunday with a full practice over the next two days. Kneeland has 11 tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, through five regular-season games in 2025.

Kneeland was cleared to play against Carolina after working through an ankle injury all week. Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Collects first career sack
Kneeland recorded three tackles, including his first career sack, in Thursday's loss to the Eagles.
The second-year defensive end picked up the Cowboys' first sack of the post-Micah Parsons era, bringing down Jalen Hurts midway through the third quarter. It was the only sack of the game for the Dallas defense. Kneeland played only 11 games as a rookie last season due to a knee injury after being selected in the second round, but the Western Michigan product should be in for a big role in the pass-rush rotation this year as the team tries to replace Parsons' relentless pressure.
