  • Titans' Joey Slye: Makes all three kicks Week 7

Slye went 2-for-2 on his field-goal attempts and made his lone point-after try during the Titans' 31-13 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.

Slye got the scoring started with a 49-yard field goal early in the first quarter, and he tacked on a 50-yarder near the end of the first half to give the Titans a 13-10 lead. He was unable to play in Week 6 against the Raiders due to a calf injury, but the veteran kicker progressed enough in his recovery to be cleared to play Sunday. Slye has connected on 15 of 19 field-goal attempts and has gone 5-for-6 on extra-point tries through six regular-season games.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Cleared to face former team

Slye (calf) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Slye was limited in all three of Tennessee's practices after sitting out the Week 6 loss to the Raiders, but he evidently looked healthy enough to avoid an injury designation. The Titans cut Matthew Wright on Friday after Wright filled in for Slye in Week 6, providing another indicator of the team's confidence in Slye's health. Slye's opportunities could be limited since the Titans are scoring only 13.8 points per game and the Patriots are allowing just 20.0 points per game.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Logs another limited practice

Slye (calf) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, John Glennon of NashvillePost.com reports.

A right calf injury prevented Slye from playing against the Raiders in Week 6. He's opened the week with back-to-back limited practices, and special-teams coordinator John Fassel told reporters Thursday that Slye has looked better in practice, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site. Matthew Wright would be elevated to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Patriots if Slye is not cleared to return.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Upgrades to limited practice

Slye (calf) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Slye wasn't able to practice in any capacity before being ruled out for the Titans' loss to the Raiders in Week 6, so for him to now log limited activity is a tangible step in the right direction. If Slye can upgrade to full practice reps Thursday and/or Friday, he could avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's matchup against the Patriots.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Won't kick for Titans on Sunday

Slye (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

With Slye sidelined, fellow kicker Matthew Wright is slated to be elevated from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's contest. Slye's next chance to see game action will arrive Sunday, Oct. 19 against the Patriots.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: DNP again with calf injury

Slye (calf) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice.

It's Slye's first week on the injury report this season, and back-to-back DNPs certainly puts his status for Week 6 against the Raiders in question. Matthew Wright was recently signed to the Titans' practice squad as insurance.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Absent for second straight practice

    Slye (calf) didn't practice Thursday.

He'll miss out on a second straight practice while he tends to a right calf injury. The Titans signed Matthew Wright to their practice squad Wednesday, and he'll presumably be elevated in the event Slye isn't able to handle kicking duties in Sunday's game against the Raiders.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Misses practice Wednesday

Slye didn't practice Wednesday due to a right calf injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Slye made all three of his field-goal attempts and went 1-for-2 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 22-21 win over the Cardinals, but with an absence from practice to start the current week, the kicker's status is worth monitoring ahead of this weekend's game against the Raiders. If Slye is unavailable versus Las Vegas, Matthew Wright is a candidate for a practice-squad elevation.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Hits every field goal Sunday

Slye went 3-for-3 on field goals and 1-for-2 on extra points in Sunday's 22-21 win over the Cardinals.

Slye made field goals from 44, 51 and 29 yards, respectively. The kicker connected on just 2-of-6 field-goal attempts in the previous two games. At the moment, he's a somewhat unreliable kicker on a low-scoring team.

  • Titans' Joey Slye: Misses both kicks vs. Houston

Slye went 0-for-2 on his field-goal attempts during the Titans' 26-0 loss to the Texans.

Very little went right for the Titans' offense Sunday, but Slye wasn't able to get Tennessee on the board after missing field-goal attempts from 41 and 43 yards in the first and second quarter, respectively. Slye started the season 8-for-8 on field goals but has gone just 2-for-6 over the last two games. Slye and the Titans will look to turn things around in their Week 5 road clash against the Cardinals on Sunday, Oct. 5.
