He was limited in practice all week, and his status for Week 7 may not be known until the Chargers announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. Davis sustained a knee injury Week 3 versus the Broncos and was held out of the Chargers' loss to the Giants in Week 4 as a result. For any chance of retaking the field Sunday versus the Commanders, Davis will need to resume practicing in at least a limited capacity Thursday and/or Friday. He hasn't yet been targeted this season but has carried the ball twice for five yards and contributed in the return game.

Davis was injured in last Sunday's win over the Broncos but was able to return to the game. Now that the adrenaline has worn off, Davis will sit this one out, allowing Hassan Haskins, Ladd McConkey and KeAndre Lambert-Smith to potentially handle return duties for the Chargers.
