  • Packers' Christian Watson: Won't return for Week 7

Watson (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Arizona, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.

Watson remained limited in practice throughout the week, seemingly avoiding setbacks but not quite getting the green light for full participation. An upgrade to full likely will be the signal that his 2025 debut is coming, be it Week 8 at Pittsburgh or later on in the season.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Another limited practice

Watson (knee) was a limited practice participant Thursday.

Watson has been limited in practice the past two weeks, but the ever elusive full session has yet to occur as he puts the finishing touches on his recovery from the torn ACL that he suffered in his right knee Week 18 of last season. Coach Matt LaFleur said, "We'll see," when asked if Watson is set to return Sunday at Arizona, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. If Watson isn't ruled out on Friday's injury report, the Packers will have until Saturday afternoon to activate him from the reserve/PUP list, which would give him a chance to play this weekend.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Another limited session

Watson (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday.

Watson now has strung together four consecutive capped sessions going back to last week since the Packers designated him to return from the reserve/PUP list. He wasn't cleared to suit up this past Sunday against the Bengals, and his status remains up in the air in advance of a Week 7 visit to Arizona. Considering he hasn't logged a full practice yet, Watson may need to do so in order to have a chance to play on gameday.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Won't play this week

Watson (knee) won't play this Sunday against Cincinnati, even though Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that the wideout has looked good at practice this week, Paul Bretl of the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Coming back from an ACL tear suffered in Week 18 last season, Watson returned to practice Monday and then was listed as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday. It sounds like he could play as soon as Week 7 or 8, but it won't happen this Sunday in a game where the Packers are favored by nearly two touchdowns.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Limited again Thursday

Watson (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Since the Packers designated him for return from the reserve/PUP list Monday, Watson has operated with a cap on his practice reps through two sessions, giving him just one more chance to prove his health this week before the team potentially makes a ruling on his availability for Sunday's contest against the Bengals. Watson is seeking his first game action since tearing the ACL in his right knee Week 18 of last season.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Limited in return to practice

Watson (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

The Packers designated Watson for return from the reserve/PUP list Monday, which marked the first step as he seeks his first game action since Week 18 of last season, when he sustained a torn ACL in his right knee. Wednesday's practice was padded, and Watson was spotted running routes and catching passes during the portion open to the media, per Ryan Wood of USA Today. Watson will have two more chances to mix into drills this week, with Friday's injury report potentially giving him a chance to play Sunday against the Bengals.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Returns to practice Monday

The Packers designated Watson (knee) for return from the reserve/PUP list Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

This opens Watson's 21-day practice window for activation, so the Packers will have a maximum of three weeks to see how Watson looks in his return to the field after he suffered a torn ACL in Week 18 of last season. Once Watson does return, it will further convolute the Packers' wideout room. Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Matthew Golden, Savion Williams and Malik Heath have all been seeing enough playing time to make this a messy situation to parse through for fantasy purposes, and that doesn't even include Jayden Reed (collarbone/foot), who is on injured reserve. Reed was given a recovery timetable of 6-to-8 weeks after he was injured Week 2.
