Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Status following Week 8 bye TBD
Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday that it's "to early to tell" if Murray (foot) will be able to play in the Cardinals' next game Monday, Nov. 3 at Dallas following a Week 8 bye, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Gannon also reiterated what he told Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com after Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Packers: that Murray will resume starting duties once he's healthy enough to do so. While Murray has missed the last two contests due to a mid-foot sprain, Jacoby Brissett has directed the offense during that stretch, completing 52 of 80 passes for 599 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, rushing nine times for 45 yards and losing his only fumble. Murray himself hasn't surpassed 220 passing yards in any of his five starts and has combined for a 6:3 TD:INT so far this season.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Still starter when healthy
Coach Jonathan Gannon said after Sunday's loss to the Packers that Murray (foot) remains the Cardinals' starting quarterback when healthy, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Murray suffered a mid-foot sprain in the Week 5 loss to the Titans, and Jacoby Brissett has started the last two contests, both narrow losses to the Colts and Packers by a combined eight points. Brissett again had Arizona competitive Sunday against Green Bay, completing 25 of 36 pass attempts for 279 yards and two touchdowns, adding six rushing attempts for 26 yards with his legs. In two starts under center, Brissett has completed 52 of 80 passes for 599 yards, four touchdowns and just one interception. He's rushed nine times for 45 yards. The Cardinals have looked more competitive with Brissett at the controls, but Murray still has his coach's support as the starter. Arizona has a Week 8 bye before going on the road to face Dallas in Week 9.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Sitting out again in Week 7
Murray (foot) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Since emerging from a Week 5 loss to the Titans with a mid-foot sprain, Murray hasn't been able to log more than a limited practice (four in all) over the last two weeks. He was listed as questionable for each of the past two contests, but like in Week 6, insiders Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and Adam Schefter of ESPN reported beforehand that Murray was trending toward another absence, with the latter noting that the QB is in line to play in the Cardinals' next game Monday, Nov. 3 at Dallas following a Week 8 bye. With Murray again in street clothes, backup Jacoby Brissett will direct Arizona's offense for a second straight game.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Not expected to face Packers
Murray (foot) is not expected to suit up for Sunday's home game against Green Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Murray remains officially listed as questionable after having turned in a trio of limited practice sessions, but the Cardinals are expected to start veteran backup Jacoby Brissett for a second consecutive contest. With Arizona then slated for a Week 8 bye, the expectation is that Murray will be ready to retake the field Monday, Nov. 3 versus the Cowboys in Week 9. Confirmation on Murray's status will arrive no later than 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Trending toward not playing Week 7
The Cardinals are planning to start Jacoby Brissett instead of Murray (foot) against the Packers on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Murray drew the questionable tag for Sunday's game after being a limited practice participant all week. However, with the Cardinals on a bye for Week 8, it appears the team will sit Murray to give him more time to heal from a mid-foot sprain, which would make Week 9 against the Cowboys on Monday, Nov. 3 the next opportunity for the 28-year-old quarterback to play. Brissett had a strong showing in the Cardinals' Week 7 loss to the Colts, with the veteran completing 27 of 44 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns and one interception while turning three carries into 19 yards.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Status in question for Week 7
Murray (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Packers, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Murray already has missed one contest due to a mid-foot sprain, and despite being limited during all three Week 7 sessions, he was seen throwing to reserve pass catchers Thursday and Friday, suggesting Jacoby Brissett is more likely than Murray to start again this weekend. The Cardinals have three QBs on the active roster, so even if Murray isn't active Sunday, he could be available as the emergency third quarterback behind Brissett and Kedon Slovis.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Uncertain for Week 7
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday that Murray (foot) is "doing well" but remains uncertain to play Sunday against the Packers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Murray has been a limited practice participant since last Friday and appears headed for a questionable designation for the second straight week. He might even come down to a game-day decision this time, after reports last Saturday all but ruled him out for Sunday's eventual loss at Indianapolis. WRs Marvin Harrison (concussion) and Zay Jones (knee) also are uncertain for Week 7.

Cardinals' Kyler Murray: Remains limited Thursday
Murray (foot) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
After being limited at Wednesday's closed walkthrough, Murray was seen throwing passes to reserve wide receivers Thursday, while Jacoby Brissett worked with the Cardinals' first-team offense, according to Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. It was a similar breakdown of reps to last Friday before Murray was inactive this past Sunday at Indianapolis due to a mid-foot sprain and yielded the start to Brissett. Nevertheless, Murray has one more chance to prove his health before the Cardinals likely tag him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Packers.
