Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited in practice
Kamara (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
It's an improvement from last week when Kamara also was listed with an ankle injury and started off as a non-participant. He ended up being cleared to play on the Friday injury report, and went on to handle a season-high 84 percent snap share when fellow running back Kendre Miller suffered an ACL tear in the first half. It is possible rookie Devin Neal will have more of a role this Sunday against Tampa Bay, with more time to prepare for the No. 2 RB job.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Modest numbers in Week 7 loss
Kamara rushed 11 times for 28 yards and brought in all three targets for one yard in the Saints' 26-14 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Kamara was stymied on the ground by a Bears defense that had been vulnerable against the run, and he uncharacteristically did next to nothing with his three catches. The versatile veteran has been held to 31 rushing yards or fewer in three straight games and hasn't recorded a rushing touchdown since Week 1, leaving his fantasy outlook bleak as a Week 8 home matchup against a tough Buccaneers run defense awaits next Sunday afternoon.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Cleared to face Bears
Kamara (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Chicago, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Kamara even progressed to full practice participation Friday, setting him up for this usual workload come Sunday, although Kendre Miller has gotten more involved in recent weeks for reasons seemingly unrelated to Kamara's health. The 30-year-old RB took 62 percent of snaps in last week's loss to New England, with 15 touches for 76 total yards.

Kamara (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
Coach Kellen Moore described Kamara's absence from Wednesday's session as a maintenance plan as Kamara deals with the ankle injury that he sustained Week 5 against the Giants, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com. Now that he's mixed back into some drills, Kamara is trending in the right direction, but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to avoid a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Chicago.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Present at practice Thursday
Kamara (ankle) is present for the early portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Kamara missed practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, the same issue that he played through in Week 6 after having logged three consecutive limited practice sessions. Coach Kellen Moore has stated that the veteran running back will be on a maintenance plan to manage the injury. To see Kamara back on the field Thursday, even if he only logs limited reps, bodes well for his chances of taking the field for Sunday's road matchup against the Bears, but he'll likely carry an injury designation into the weekend unless he's able to resume practicing in full.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Doesn't practice Wednesday
Kamara (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Kamara was limited in practice all of last week due to an ankle issue but still suited up this past Sunday against the Patriots, handling 62 percent of the snaps and turning 15 touches into 76 yards from scrimmage in that contest. Coach Kellen Moore told Terrell that Kamara will be on a maintenance plan for the injury for the time being, and the fact that the running back was a DNP to begin Week 7 prep doesn't mean the concern got worse, as Moore relayed to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. Ultimately, Kamara may need to practice fully by Friday in order to enter the weekend without a designation for Sunday's game in Chicago.

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Tops 70 scrimmage yards in loss
Kamara carried the ball 10 times for 31 yards and caught all five of his targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 25-19 loss to the Patriots.
After dealing with an ankle injury during the week in practice, Kamara didn't seem particularly bothered by the issue as he saw at least 15 touches for the fourth time in the last five games and produced 70-plus scrimmage yards for the third time in that span. Kamara has 314 rushing yards and a 22-122-0 receiving line on 26 targets through six contests, but a Week 1 rushing TD has been his only trip to the end zone so far. He'll look to end his scoring drought in Week 7 against the Bears.
