Bears' Grady Jarrett: Logs limited practice Wednesday
Jarrett (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
Jarrett has missed each of Chicago's past three contests while dealing with a knee injury. He did return to a limited practice last Friday but wasn't cleared to suit up in this past Sunday's win over New Orleans. Jarrett has a chance to make his return this Sunday against Baltimore, though how he does in practice the next two days could ultimately determine whether he'll suit up.

Bears' Grady Jarrett: Won't play Week 7
Jarrett (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Saturday that Jarrett was expected to play Week 7, but the veteran defensive lineman has not progressed enough in his recovery from a knee injury to return Sunday. Jarrett will be sidelined for a third consecutive game, and his absence means Shemar Turner, Andrew Billings and Chris Williams will continue to see more rotational snaps at defensive tackle. Jarrett's next opportunity to play is Week 8 against the Ravens on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Bears' Grady Jarrett: Trending toward playing vs. NOLA
Jarrett (knee) is questionable to play against the Saints on Sunday but is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Jarrett missed the Bears' last two games due to a knee injury that has lingered since the beginning of the regular season. He opened the week with back-to-back DNPs before practicing in a limited capacity Friday, which earned him the questionable tag for Week 7. Even if he's expected to play, Jarrett's status may not be officially known until the Bears announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Jarrett's return would mean less rotational snaps at defensive tackle to go around for Chris Williams, Andrew Billings and Shemar Turner.

Bears' Grady Jarrett: Questionable after limited practice
Jarrett (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Jarrett upgraded to limited participation in practice Friday after DNPs on Wednesday and Thursday. He last suited up in Week 3 against Dallas. If Jarrett's unable to return Sunday, more snaps on the interior of the defensive line will continue to be available for Chris Williams, Andrew Billings and Shemar Turner.

Bears' Grady Jarrett: Won't play against Washington
Jarrett (knee) didn't practice Saturday and has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Commanders.
Even with the Bears on the Week 5 bye, Jarrett will miss a second consecutive game due to a knee injury that has lingered since early September. Jarrett was unable to practice this past week, and he'll focus on returning to the field in at least a limited capacity ahead of the Bears' Week 7 home clash against the Saints on Sunday, Oct. 19. Chris Williams, Andrew Billings and rookie third-rounder Shemar Turner are candidates to see their snaps at defensive tackle increase Monday in Jarrett's absence.

Bears' Grady Jarrett: DNP with knee injury

Bears' Grady Jarrett: Out in Week 4
Jarrett (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Raiders.
The 32-year-old has been dealing with a knee injury since the beginning of September, and after a week of no practice participation, he'll miss his first game of the season in Week 4. Jarrett has tallied four total tackles over 120 defensive snaps in his first three contests as a Bear. In his absence, Chris Williams is likely to play a larger role on Chicago's defensive line.

Bears' Grady Jarrett: Active for Week 2
Jarrett (knee) is active for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Lions.
After playing 39 defensive snaps and recording three tackles in Chicago's Week 1 loss to the Vikings, Jarrett opened Week 2 prep with back-to-back DNPs before logging a limited session Friday. The veteran missed only three regular-season games over his first eight seasons in the NFL. However, he was sidelined for the second half of 2023 due to an ACL tear and posted modest numbers in his return last season, prompting the Falcons to release him this offseason in a cap-saving move. Jarrett quickly landed with the Bears on a three-year deal worth $43.5 million, and he's expected to be a force for Chicago's defense in 2025. The two-time Pro Bowler is still considered one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL, but he's finished a season with more than five sacks only once since 2019.
