Alabama football loses blue-chip commitment in 2027 recruiting class
It's still early for Alabama football's 2027 recruiting class . However, the Crimson Tide's group got one person smaller on Monday. Alexander Ward, a four-star athlete, decommitted from Alabama. He shared the news to social media in conjunction with Hayes Fawcett of On3. The 247Sports composite rankings have Ward as the No. 14 athlete in the 2027 class. He's ranked as the No. 284 overall players in the group. Ward had been committed since November. He had initially chosen the Crimson Tide over a group of offers that included Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina among others.
