About the In-Person Workshop
Make every drop count in your garden with practical, science-based water management strategies. "Water-Wise Gardening" explores how to handle both drought and heavy rain through efficient irrigation systems, rain barrels, and stormwater solutions such as rain gardens, swales, and riparian buffers. Participants will also learn techniques for managing wet lawns and erosion on slopes, understanding the garden water cycle, and planning seasonally for changing conditions. With climate change reshaping water challenges across the landscape, this session offers the knowledge and tools to conserve water, prevent flooding, and support pollinators and wildlife through resilient, water-wise gardening practices.
