About the In-Person Workshop
Join Penn State Extension for the second installment of "Herds and Her: Empowering Women in Dairy," a hands-on, boot camp–style workshop designed for women in dairy. During this interactive day, participants will gain practical knowledge to take back to their farm operations. Sessions include culturing to improve milk quality, calculating your farm’s breakeven, serum total protein analysis to assess passive immunity in calves, and identifying and preventing lameness in the herd. Through expert-led instruction and peer collaboration, this workshop provides a supportive environment for women to strengthen both their expertise and confidence in dairy farming.
Funding for this event is provided by a grant from Northeast Extension Risk Management Education.
