In the Odoo CRM module, a lead represents a genuine inquiry from
an individual or organization showing interest in your products or
services. It may also refer to an interaction gathered by the
salesperson. Leads can originate from various channels, including
phone calls, messages, blog posts, contact forms, emails, link
tracking, marketing campaigns, live chats, events, and more. These
leads are eventually converted into opportunities, making it crucial
to manage them effectively and with care.
Introduction

First, enable the 'Leads' feature under the CRM in the CRM
configuration settings.

After enabling the feature, the 'Leads’ menu will appear. Upon
clicking this menu, you will notice that some Leads are already
available. To add a new lead, simply click the 'New' button.

Enter the name, company name, contact name, and other required
fields, then save it.
Enterprise
When you click on 'Convert to Opportunity', a pop-up window opens
where you can either create a new opportunity or merge with existing
ones. Then, click 'Create Opportunity' to proceed.

After clicking the button, the lead is converted into an opportunity
with the state set to 'New'. You can then create a quotation by
clicking the 'New Quotation' button.

In the 'My Pipeline' submenu under Sales, clicking on it will open the
window below, where you can view the converted opportunity.
