Introduction
Odoo's Website app provides a powerful platform for generating leads
and nurturing them into opportunities.
We can create leads or opportunities directly from the website module
to streamline customer inquiries or interactions captured via web
forms. This integration ensures that potential customer data is
automatically recorded in the CRM module, reducing manual data
entry and enhancing lead management.

Let’s move to the Website module and create a simple contact form from the
Homepage of the website. For that, click on Edit from the top right corner of
the website page. We can create this on any page, here we go for the ‘home’
page itself.

Then, drag and drop the ‘Contact & Forms’ snippet from the right to the page and design
the form as we need. There will be readymade templates also. Edit the headings and labels
as we need.

Here, on selecting the Submit button on the from, we will get the details of the
customizations possible for it on the right side. Here, we see like the Submit button have
the Action to ‘Send a Mail’.

Other actions like Apply for Job, Create a customer, Create an
opportunity, Create a Task, etc will be available from the list

Select the action ‘Create an Opportunity’ from the list. And click on
‘Save’ on top to save all the changes we have made for the web page.

After the edit and save, get into the page and fill in the data for the
form we have just created and click on submit button.

We will be redirected to a success page like

Now, go to the CRM module and see the main pipeline after removing the default filters.
Then we can see that an opportunity will be created on the pipeline with Stage ‘New’ with
the title as we have given for the subject in the contact form.

Opening the opportunity, we can see the details as the below screenshot. The Email and
Phone will be saved as we have given in the contact form. And the question in the contact
form will be shown as the internal notes in the lead.

This opportunity can be converted or upgraded to any stage as we want using the buttons
available on the top. And while clicking on the Quotation button, this can be made as a
quotation by confirming through a wizard like

The customer creation can be decided with those three options and the quotation will get
created. This can further be confirmed, invoiced and treated for the business as we do
normally.
