- 1. How to ConfigurePush & Pull Rule in Odoo 18 Inventory Enterprise
- 2. Enterprise Introduction In this slide,we’ll discuss on how to configure push & pull rule in Odoo 18 Inventory module. In Odoo 18, Push and Pull rules are powerful tools for automating inventory movements within your warehouse. They allow you to define specific conditions and actions to streamline your operations and reduce manual intervention.
- 3. Enterprise To configure pushand pull rule, we need to first enable the storage locations and the multi-step routes from the settings of the Inventory module.
- 4. Enterprise After that wecan go to the Warehouses from the configuration of the inventory module.
- 5. Enterprise This shows thelist of the warehouses available in the system.
- 6. Enterprise In the formview, under the configuration tab, we can choose 3 step for both the incoming and outgoing shipments. By clicking on the Routes smart tab, we can see the routes for this warehouse.
- 7. Enterprise This lists thewarehouse’s routes including the 3 steps receipts and delivery.
- 8. Enterprise This is theform view of the receipts for 3 steps.
- 9. Enterprise Under the Rulestab we have the push rules for the receipts.
- 10. Enterprise Here the actionis Push To and the source location is WH/Input and the destination location is WH/Quality Control. When products arrive in WH/Input, Quality control are created to send them to WH/Quality Control.
- 11. Enterprise Another rule forthis route is also having the action Push to and now the source location is WH/Quality control and the destination location is WH/Stock. When products arrive in WH/Quality control, storage are created to send them to WH/Stock.
- 12. Enterprise This is theroutes for the delivery which include pick, pack and ship.
- 13. Enterprise The rules includeone Pull from and two Push to actions.
- 14. Enterprise When there isa need in partner location, there will be a pull from action from the stock to the partner location to fulfill the need.
- 15. Enterprise Then products arepushed from the packing zone to the output location.
- 16. Enterprise From the outputlocation, it is pushed to the partner location to fulfill the delivery order.
- 17. Enterprise Now we cancreate an RFQ by choosing a vendor and adding a product having zero quantity. By clicking on confirm button, we can confirm the RFQ to purchase order.
- 18. Enterprise We can seethe onhand quantity of the product used in the Purchase order is zero.
- 19. Enterprise After that wecan go to inventory module to complete the transfer. By clicking on the transfer in receipts we can transfer the product.
- 20. Enterprise This lists thetransfer in ready state which is filtered by receipts and today.
- 21. Enterprise Here we cansee the destination location is WH/Input and we can complete the transfer by clicking on Validate button.
- 22. Enterprise After completing thefirst step, we can click on next transfer to process the other transfer.
- 23. Enterprise The next stepis from input location to quality control location and clicking on validate button, we can complete the second step.
- 24. Enterprise After that wecan click on the smart button next transfer to complete the third step.
- 25. Enterprise Now the productswill move from the quality control to the stock location. Thus we will receive the product in the stock by clicking on the Validate button.
- 26. Enterprise If we goto the product page we can see the onhand quantity of the product is increased.
- 27. Enterprise We can createa quotation to see how the push and pull rule work for the delivery order. After creating the quotation, we can confirm it to sale order by clicking on Confirm button.
- 28. Enterprise By clicking onthe Delivery smart button, we can process the delivery order.
- 29. Enterprise We can validatethe first step of transfer which is from the stock location to the packing zone by clicking on the Validate button.
- 30. Enterprise Then we canclick on the Next transfer to process the next step.
- 31. Enterprise Here we canvalidate the transfer from the packing zone to the output location by clicking on the Validate button.
- 32. Enterprise Then we canclick on the Next transfer button to complete the third step.
- 33. Enterprise Finally we canvalidate the transfer from the output location to partner location and this completes the 3 steps of pick, pack and ship in outgoing shipment.
