Credit🎥 IG: charlotteisabellanash • ✍️6 big points to jot down:  1️⃣ Start by externally rotating at the hip (knees facing the sky) to open up the hips  2️⃣ Think about actively squeezing the legs back to engage the glutes and release the adductors (inner thighs)  3️⃣ Use a foam roller to slide more easily and to elevate the surface to ease you into the stretch  4️⃣ As you slide down, think about pushing the tailbone to the sky to open the hips  5️⃣ As you slide back up, round the back (this will help to mobilise the spine and ease the hips into the stretch for them to be nice and prepped for middle splits)  6️⃣ Hold the straddle at end range and try and release your chest to the ground (the foam roller will help give the shoulders a nice stretch as well 😉)
