The Buffalo Sabres held a morning skate on Friday before the first of a back-to-back home-and-home with the Toronto Maple Leafs at KeyBank Center. There was good news all around, as Jason Zucker was on the ice and participated fully after leaving the 4-2 victory over Detroit on Wednesday, and goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, defenseman Michael Kesselring, and forward Jordan Greenway took part.

After an 0-3 start, the Buffalo Sabres have turned things around with three wins in their last four games, but the club may not have their leading goal scorer when they take on the archrival Toronto Maple Leafs this weekend. Sabres forward Jason Zucker, who scored his fourth goal of the season in the 4-2 victory over Detroit on Wednesday, left the game midway through the second period after colliding with former teammate Jacob Bernard-Docker. 

This former Penguins forward was injured in his most recent appearance.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Colten Ellis endured a long wait to make his NHL debut. He responded by shutting down the scorching-hot Red Wings in Wednesday's win.
