Digital illustration of quantum many-body problem

The quantum many-body problem is one of the hard problems of complexity theory: A direct solution requires computational resources that grow exponentially with the size of the problem to be solved.

At CCQ we are developing, optimizing and benchmarking sophisticated algorithms to make the many-body problem tractable. Our group has expertise in a range of complementary methods including tensor network theory, diagrammatic Monte Carlo, dynamical mean-field theory, density functional theory and wave function, enabling qualitatively new contributions to this grand challenge problem.
