Commission of Investigation Concerning Greek Frontier Incidents
The Commission of Investigation Concerning Greek Frontier Incidents, set up by United Nations Security Council, was directed to investigate alleged violations of the Greek frontier, and to hear cases of the four governments concerned: Albania, Bulgaria, Greece and Yugoslavia, as well as political prisoners, private individuals and representatives of political parties.
Members of the commission's investigating team left Salonika, Greece, on 12 March on an expedition by convoy and pack mule to meet the Partisan General Markos at Kastanophyto, a partisan-held village on the Greek frontier.
