Texas Flood Recovery And Rebuild
The State of Texas continues to support recovery and rebuilding operations for Texans and communities impacted by recent severe flooding across the state.
Texans who sustained damage to their property due to rain and flooding are encouraged to report it through the Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT).

Members of the public wishing to show their support and help their fellow Texans can donate through the Central Texas Flood Recovery Fund.
The Texas Micro-Business Disaster Recovery (MBDR) Loan Program will provide zero-interest loans through August 31, 2025 to eligible Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) for purposes of making loans to qualifying micro-businesses with no more than 20 employees.

Workers and self-employed individuals affected by flooding in the designated area can apply for Disaster Unemployment Assistance benefits using one of the follow methods:
- Online through Unemployment Benefit Services
- Call the Texas Workforce Commission at (800) 939-6631, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Applications must be submitted by September 4, 2025.
Texans who got hurt or sick, including mental trauma injuries, from a work-related event that took place during the recent flooding can file a claim through the Texas Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC).

SNAP Benefits
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients in affected counties can apply for replacement benefits through August 18 for food lost or destroyed.
SNAP recipients can request replacement food benefits through the following methods:
- Call 2-1-1, select option 7
- Download Form H1855 (Affidavit for Nonreceipt or Destroyed SNAP Benefits). Completed forms should be mailed to Texas Health and Human Services Commission, P.O. Box 149027, Austin, TX, 78714-9027 or faxed to 877-447-2839.
SNAP Hot Foods
SNAP recipients in 33 counties impacted by recent flooding can purchase hot foods and ready-to-eat meals with their Lone Star Cards through August 14.
Hot foods include rotisserie chicken, grocery store deli items, and other foods that are hot at the point of sale. No action is required by SNAP recipients to receive this additional benefit.
WIC Food And Formula Benefits
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is replacing food and formula benefits lost during the floods through July 31.
WIC participants must visit a WIC office in person to receive updated benefits. To find a local office and make an appointment, visit TexasWIC.org.
Prescriptions
People affected by the flooding who are enrolled in Medicaid, the Children with Special Health Care Needs Services Program, and the Kidney Health Care Program can have pharmacies fill prescription refills early.
Authorized pharmacists in Texas can to dispense up to a 30-day supply of medication (other than a Schedule II controlled substance) for patients affected in the counties of the disaster area.
Support For Texans’ Emotional Health
Survivors, families, first responders and others affected by the disaster can receive professional crisis counseling at no cost by calling 833-812-2480.
The Texas Flooding Emotional Support Line is available 24/7. All calls are confidential and answered by personnel specially trained to work with disaster survivors.
If you have flood insurance and your home flooded, call your company to file a claim as soon as possible. If you have a policy through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), call 877-336-2627. NFIP policies require you to file a claim within 60 days.
If you have a flood policy through your insurance company but can’t find their phone number, call the Texas Department of Insurance helpline at 800-252-3439 or visit a Disaster Recovery Center.
Households in Guadalupe, Kerr, McCulloch, San Saba, and Tom Green counties are able to receive Community Services Block Grant discretionary fund assistance to include food, gas, and hotel cards.
