Ingredients:

- 200 grams Chickpeas (Dry, soak them overnight)

- 500 milliliters Of water (To cover the chickpeas when blending)

Method:

1. Soak the chickpeas overnight.

2. Drain the soaked chickpeas, transfer to a blender and cover with water.

3. Process until super smooth, then use a cheesecloth to separate the chickpea milk from the curd.

4. Boil the chickpea milk until thickened, stirring frequently so it doesn't burn to the bottom.

5. Transfer to a container (I used the tofu press - linked in bio), and set into the fridge until cooled down.

Tofu Time - Season 2, Ep 1: Homemade Tofu
This contains: You need 1 cup of soyabean soaked overnight. Blend it with water and sieve with a cloth. This is your own homemade soy milk. Bring the soy milk to a boil and now add some water and lemon juice. Boil it for 2 more minutes and let the milk curdle. Sieve it with a muslin cloth and wrap it tightly. Place a bowl on top or any other heavy object to press it. This allows the tofu to get firm and the excess liquid goes away. And just like that this soft dense pure and fresh homemade tofu is now ready.

Yes it’s a thing and I made it! It’s incredibly easy to make and very delicious! Add some of your favourite seasonings into this base recipe I’m about to share with you and boom

HOMEMADE TOFU! 

🫘 the recipe🫘

👉🏼 1 cup red lentils
 • 👉🏼 2 cups boiling water 

👉🏼 seasonings of choice 

🫘 instructions 🫘

👉🏼boil the water
 • 👉🏼 blend 1 cup lentils in a food processor or blender. Make fine powder
 • 👉🏼add water to blender and process till combined 
 • 👉🏼add in seasonings and mix again
 • 👉🏼grease pan and add mixture

👉🏼refrigerate until set (couple hours)
