Nothing says Ganpati quite like home-made Ukadiche Modak and these soft modaks are a perfect blend of festival and flavours & I can't want for you to try them at home ❤️❤️

Here's how you can make Ukadiche Modak at home ☺️

Dough :
 • Rice Flour - 1 Cup
 • Water - 1 1/4th Cup
 • Ghee - 1 Tsp
 • Salt - A pinch
 • Filling : 
 • Ghee - 1/2 Tbsp
 • Grated Coconut - 1 Cup
 • Jaggery - 1/2 Cup
 • Cardamom Pwd - 1/2 Tsp

Nutmeg - 1/4th Tsp

Process : 
 • * Heat up some water in a saucepan - add in a pinch of salt & ghee & bring it to a boil
 • * Once the water has come to a boil, turn the flame off, add in the rice flour & give it a quick mix - make sure to hyd

1hr 10min · 5 servings     Ingredients:  • For the filing:  • 2tbsp oil/ghee  • 1 cup Jaggery  • 2 cups of Freshly grated coconut   • Dryfruits of choice  1 tsp Elaichi powder  For the outer layer of Modak  • 2 tbsp oil  • 2 cups of Water  • 2 cups of rice flour  Salt as per taste  Procedure:  • 1. Combine together oil, freshly grated coconut and Jaggery together in a heavy bottom pan on low heat until a mixture is ready.   • 2. Add in the dryfruits & elaichi powder and mix it well.  • 3. Now keep this aside & let it cool down.   • 4. In a saucepan boil 2 cups of water and add oil/ghee followed by rice flour and salt.  • 5. You can feel it in the air with the weather changing and people getting ready for what we call, the celebration of Ganesha’s arrival, the very loved, Ganesh Chaturthi! I have the perfect recipe of easy homemade modak for you that will make this Ganesh Chaturthi even better. 

Ingredients:
 • 1 can (400gms) condensed milk
 • 2 cups (240gms) milk powder
 • Pinch of cardamom powder
 • 1 +1/2 (22gms) tbsp ghee
 • 4 tsp (10gms) cocoa powder

Filling:
 • 1tbsp (12gms) jaggery
 • 2tbsp (15gms) chopped pistachios
 • 1tbsp (7gms) shredded coconut

Easy Homemade Modak Recipe
Ingredients • 1 cup besan • Water as required • Pinch of baking soda • Few drops of orange colour • Oil for frying • Make a thick batter using besan, water, baking soda & orange colour. Fry this in hot oil till crispy. Let it cool & then blitz for a couple of seconds to make into a powder. • 1/2 cup sugar • 1/3 cup water • 1 tsp elaichi powder • 1 tbsp melon seeds • 1 tbsp pista, chopped • Heat sugar & water together to form a simple syrup. Add in the elaichi powder, melon seeds, pista & the blitzed besan powder. Mix well till it comes together. Shape into modaks or any shape you like. Garnish with silver vark. Serve & dig in.!
