This is my idea of comfort in a bowl!   Method:  - Heat 2tbsp ghee in a cooker, add in 1 tbsp jeera, 3 cloves, 1 star anise, 2 elaichi, 5-6 black peppercorn, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 2 bay leaves, 3 red chillies and sauté for 1 minute  - Then add in 6 curry leaves, 1/4 cup sliced onions, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and sauté further  - Add in 1 tsp Haldi, 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder, 1 tbsp Coriander Powder, 1 tsp Jeera Powder, 1 tsp Garam Masala with 1 + 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes, 1 cup soaked rice, 1/2 cup coriander, 2 green chillies, water and salt  - Mix well and pressure cook on a medium flame for 2 whistles  - Serve hot with a dollop of ghee and enjoy with raita and papad!

1hr · 4 servings  Gur Waley Chawal (Jaggery Rice Fall Special) Gur Waley Chaawal is a traditional South Asian recipe that sweetens rice with jaggery for a dense aromatic flavour.  Ingredients:  • Gur (Jaggery) : 800 g   • Water: 1 cup  • Ghee: 1/2 cup  • Green cardamom: 3-4 pcs  • Fennel seeds: 1/2 tsp  • Almonds: 1/4 cup  • Coconut slices: 1/4 cup  • Peanuts/cashews: 1/4 cup  • Rice: 4 cups   • Cloves: 3-4 pcs  • Cinnamon stick : 1 pc  • Star anise: 2 pcs  Directions:  • In a pot , heat up the ghee and add fennel seeds and green cardamoms.Splatter for 20-30 seconds.   • Add jaggery and water.stir and cook until it melts.  • Add almonds , coconut slices and peanuts.  • In a separate pot boil the water and add cloves, cinnamon stick and star anise. Add soaked rice and boil until 95% done.

Neychoru or Kerala Style Ghee rice is a very rich Pulao recipe that is absolutely tasty. You can make it in a pressure cooker at home or in a pan. Ghee rice is a traditional south Indian pulao recipe that uses jeerakasala rice or jeerai rice but can be made using basmati rice or even sela rice. 

This rice recipe is a traditional recipes and uses dry fruits and raisins cooked together with ghee. You can eat this simple pulao recipe with any vegetable curry or just serve it hot with curd.

Ingredients:
 • - 2 cup Basmati Rice(washed, soaked for 1/2 hour and drained) 
 • - 1 cup Green Peas(you can add more if you like)
 • - 1/4 cup Ghee 
 • - 4 small Potatoes peeled and cut in half pieces
 • - 2 large Onions finely chopped lengthwise 
 • - 2 tsp Coriander Powder 
 • - 1 tsp Turmeric Powder 
 • - 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder 
 • - 8 Cloves of Garlic crushed 
 • - 1” Ginger crushed 
 • - 6 boiled Egg
 • - Salt as per your taste

Method:
 • - Mix crushed Ginger Garlic with 3 tbsp Water, let the water soak in with the juices, keep it aside
 • - In a Kadai, add Ghee par fry potatoes till light brown, keep it aside
 • Make a few slits on the Egg and fry them till light brown
 • - In the ghee Kadai, fry Onions till golden brown, keep it aside
 • - Strain the Ginger

ingredients  2 cup Jeerakasala rice   1 small Onion  6 Cloves  6 Cardamom  A small piece Cinnamon  1 Bay leaf  Salt  4 cups Boiling water)  4 tbsp Ghee  For Garnishing  1 small Onion (sliced finely)  10 -15 Cashews & raisins each  Oil / Ghee  Instructions  Wash the rice well and soak it for 30 min.
