LEVEL UP your back bridges 💪  If you’ve already got a solid bridge and are looking to deepen your range, the thoracic bridge is an awesome drill to start adding into your sessions.   The feet-elevated version requires a lot of strength to push into, so the second variation can be a good starting point.   Begin by pushing into a bridge, then step your feet onto the box. While progressing, make sure you’re also working on upper body strength with drills like bridge push-ups to eventually master the first variation as your goal!  #gymnastics #mobility #stretch

How to Do One-Legged Bridge Pose in Yoga
(Via IG - northernstar_yoga) these are specific warm ups.  1. Start with a back body activation. Bridge or bridge lifts (or cobra lifts) do the trick for me.  2. Practice some spinal articulations to get the ball rolling and the spine fluid. Cat/Cow or Down Dog to Up Dog are my favorites.  3. Add some twists to your practice where you can to lengthen and stretch the side body. I even added a shoulder stretch here.  4. Don’t forget to bring some fire to our core which is our stability center!  5. Here come the dreaded „let’s skip them“ back body strengthening poses 😬 like locust, or if you are ready for it, bow pose! Have fun!!  6. Add some front body, thigh, chest and shoulder stretches into the mix with Sphinx pose, half frog and tiger pose.  7. And don’t forget to also look after you
