Here is a brief morning ritual you may complete while still in bed to care for your back.  These stretches are excellent for increasing mobility in all planes and are moderate enough for most individuals to perform first thing in the morning.  I prefer to perform them in bed since it's cozy and convenient and getting out of bed requires a lot of effort, but you can perform them on the floor or a yoga mat as well.  You actually only need a few minutes for the entire program because typically speaking, about 30 seconds of each is sufficient to reap the advantages.  As usual, keep in mind that everyone's bodies are different and to avoid stretches that hurt.  Try them out and let me know your thoughts.
