Our mission, as the global gateway to the United Nations, is to convene and co-create essential partnerships and programmes as well as manage catalytic funding to accelerate solutions to keep the promise of the Sustainable Development Goals.

In pursuing our mission, we ensure that our work evolves and delivers with increasing impact for people and for planet.

We emphasize growing solutions, intense follow-up, and full-fledged mobilization. We deliver with ambition, agility and ability to respond to the most significant and challenging demands, engaging effectively at the country, regional and global level.

Since the founding of the United Nations, our world has changed greatly for the better. However, too many people have been left behind, and this progress has come at a great cost to our planet.

At this critical moment, when we need to come together and meet these challenges, more than half of the world’s poorest countries are at risk of buckling under the weight of foreign debt, and strong leadership to work together is in short supply. While the challenge is massive and the stakes are even greater, the good news is that we have the skills, the resources, and the incentive to reach our goals to transform bold ambitions into collective action.
