How, how, how the hell did the Chiefs find themselves here like?
Is Patrick Mahomes gonna be your leading rusher this season?
What, what happened?
That, that's, I guess like my biggest takeaway, like, right, I mean, as great as Mahomes is, like today is another example of just how incredible a football player he is.
Um, I mean, I just don't know how they can sustain an offense where, like, he's gonna be the leading rusher most weeks, um, because of scrambles and finishing plays after contact.
No, that, that's, that can't be it.
Uh, they gotta figure out something fast here as far as a little supporting patch that they can throw on there until Rashad gets back, but um, man, I just can't believe how thin they've gotten, um, on offense.
I mean, you know, at least, at least they've started to reinvest in the offensive line, you know, Josh Simmons looks like he's gonna be a hit, um, as he moves forward, but man, get some receiver talent, um, because the thing is you can justify.
You can make a case to justify where they've been over the past year because they've won a bunch of games and went to the Super Bowl, but like you have Michael Jordan on your team winning games, that doesn't mean anything anymore.
Uh, the expectation is you're in the AFC championship game.
That's like, that's your floor.
So, um, I just kind of think where they're at right now is just unacceptable.
Um, I think he's gonna have, you know, like today is a good example where I kind of see where Mahomes is living.
In this sphere of this season where 16 for 29, 187 yards, one touchdown, one pick with a 79.5 QBR for the day.
Like the counting stats aren't great, but if you watch the game, you know that he was a driving force for their chances to win, and if anyone else had stepped up, they probably would have won that game.
Uh, it sucks to see someone this good go through something like this because, uh, we deserve more as football fans.
It's Mahomes and Sags, it feels like it's like, because the defense has no juice, like, who's making plays for him, Um, and yeah, but like, but that offense, it's like, I feel like any time anyone breaks a tackle, you know, it's just catch tackle, and if you're going to work like an Andy, like this is becoming just a pure West Coast Andy Reid offense, like the purest form.
If you're going to be like that, you need guys that create yards after the catch, like those are the famous runs or routes and everything, and combinations of these types of offenses, and it's just, oh no, it's just Mahomes like scrambling again.
Like he was successful, 5 for 7, had a touchdown, great touchdown, but it's like you can't live that way for 18 weeks.
That's like playoff attitude.
That's like got to win it kind of like, yeah, I'm gonna run it today.
That's how we have to do it.
It's just like, no, it's just, it just, it feels different right now.
