Rangers remain winless at home, beaten by the Wild 3-1
After being shut out in their first three home games of the new season, the Rangers finally broke through but it wasn't nearly enough in their 3-1 loss to Minnesota. Head coach Mike Sullivan bluntly stated, "We got outplayed tonight." Sullivan felt it was the first game since opening night that his team did not put forth the "same sense of urgency" they had after that loss. Captain J.T. Miller concurred that it simply "wasn't good enough." Mika Zibanejad had a testy exchange with a reporter, about the team "needing him to score." Zibanejad replied, " Yes, I know I have to score but I would be more worried if I wasn't getting chances... it's frustrating."
