Rangers avenge opening night loss, pummel Penguins 6-1

Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan admitted to being "emotional" on his return to Pittsburgh where he spent 10 seasons as coach of the Penguins. He was "grateful" for his time in the Steel City and appreciative of the tribute video that was played. He was also pleased with the grit and determination his current team showed in a 6-1 win. Adam Fox netted a pair of goals and said the team was happy to get the win for Sullivan. Mika Zibanejad, who opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal, adjusted back to playing center again with Vincent Trocheck sidelined by an upper-body injury.
