Are we, well, are we sure the Chiefs' defense is still good though?
That's where I'm at right now because it's been, it's been a while since they've played some good defense, honestly, like even dating back to last year, uh, last week against a Chargers offense that was pretty like, honestly, pretty bad outside of Justin Herbert last year, like I saw the Justin Herbert and McConkie connection.
They, they didn't really have much going on last week; they came out and kind of got they kind of shredded the Chiefs' defense.
Like it was one of the worst defensive performances of the week.
Uh, you know, basically a 50% success rate against an offense that was really limited.
Uh, last year, Justin Herbert was absolutely killing them.
Uh, Quentin Johnston had some really nice plays against, uh, against their defense last week.
I know Amon-Ra St. Brown didn't have like the Gotti, uh, uh, you know, box score at the end of the game, but he had some really nice runs where he was able to power through guys.
So maybe you're just kind of seeing like attrition, and they haven't been able to replace like all the guys that have been good for them, uh, in the past, and that was kind of a rough week one.
And I, I just, I just think that the talent level on the defense has kind of dropped.
Um, to a point where it, it, it, it, it doesn't really feel like they, they, they feel like they, like they're top heavy, right?
You got a couple of stars that are really trying to hold together everything for the rest of the unit and that's not really sustainable.
Um, I think this is kind of a nightmare matchup for them for, for after what they showed last week.
I, I don't know, I don't think it's gonna get like as bad as the Super Bowl just because it's hard for NFL games, even like the best team against the worst team to end and, and games that are that lopsided, but I still kind of expect them to get bulldozed upfront, and I don't know what answer they have for the Eagles wide receivers if that's an avenue that they try to, uh, you know, to go after where, you know, they start to throw it a little more because you've got Jaylen Watson and Christian Fulton on Adrian Brown and DeVonta Smith, you know, that's a, that's a big, big talent, uh, advantage for the Eagles.
So I, I, I think this is gonna be another tough one for the Chiefs defense.
