University Police & Public Safety

Penn State University Police and Public Safety will conduct a confidential University-wide survey this fall to better understand the community’s attitudes and opinions related to policing, public safety, programs and services, and overall campus safety at Penn State.  

As part of our regular “We Are!” feature, we recognize 21 Penn Staters who have gone above and beyond what’s asked of them in their work at the University. 

National Coffee with a Cop Day is Wednesday, Oct. 1, and Penn State police officers are celebrating by giving away coffee and snacks at 22 Penn State campuses across Pennsylvania.

Penn State Environmental Health and Safety has taken a significant step in enhancing campus safety and preparedness with the release of its new Building Emergency Evacuation Plan training video, conceived and developed through a partnership between EHS and CommAgency within the Bellisario College of Communications. 

With September marking National Preparedness Month and Sept. 25 designated as national “If You See Something, Say Something” Awareness Day, Penn State University Police and Public Safety is reminding all students, faculty and staff of the steps they can take to help keep themselves and their fellow Penn State community members safe.
