Our 1780s front lacing stays feature a lower bust line, more extreme diagonal style lines, and are overall about 3/4"–1" shorter than our earlier 18th century closed front stays. This creates a conical torso with a defined waist, a lower prow-front bosom, and drawn-back shoulders — hallmarks of the fashionable silhouette of the late 1700s.
