Baked Chicken Tandoori

Chicken tandoori is probably one of the most popular dishes you can get at any Bengali, Pakistani, or Indian street vendor or restaurant. They key on getting it to taste so great with the crispy skin is the marinade and the tandoor oven. Unfortunately, here in Brooklyn I don’t have a tandoor oven, so we’re going to make a baked chicken tandoori. It involves a little longer of a process, so make sure to read the instructions, but it’s sure to impress any guest.

INGREDIENTS:
 • * 10 Chicken Legs
 • * 1 Tablespoon of Garlic Paste
 • * 1 Tablespoon of Ginger Paste
 • * 1-2 Green Thai Chili Peppers 
 • * Juice of 1 Lemon
 • * 1 Cup of Plain Yogurt
 • * 1-2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
 • * 1 Chopped White Onion

 • *Coriander powder - 3/4 tbsp
 • *Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
 • *Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
 • *Garam masala - 1 tsp
 • *Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
 • *Hung curd - 2 tbsp
 • *Chilli paste - 1 tbsp
 • *Oil - 3 tbsp

INGREDIENTS:
 • 3 Chicken Legs (cut half) 
 • 1/2 Cup of Yogurt
 • 1 Tablespoon of Ginger Paste
 • 1 Tablespoon of Garlic Paste 
 • 1 Juice of a Lemon
 • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
 • 1 Teaspoon of Black Pepper
 • 1 Teaspoon of Graham Masala
 • 1 Teaspoon of Cumin
 • 1/2 Teaspoon of Turmeric
 • 1 Teaspoon of Fenugreek Leaves *optional
 • 1 Teaspoon of Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
 • 1 Teaspoons of Powder Red Coloring

•1/4 Cup of Cilantro 

INSTRUCTIONS
 • 1. Slice each chicken leg into halves, and score each piece.
 • 2. In a large bowl, add the chicken, yogurt, lemon juice, ginger and garlic paste, and spices and mix together well.
 • 3. Let it marinate in the fridge covered for 1 hour or overnight.
 • 4. Pre-heat the oven to 400degrees f.
 • 5. Bake the chicken for 60 min
