Long Jump Take Off Progressions   🔸Repeat Take Offs (harder than it looks) 🔸Straight Leg Shuffle to Take Off 🔸Baby Jog to Take Off  🔸Add More Speed to Jog  🔸Continue Adding Speed   Once the take off position looks good then I go in and start teaching arms (check out my other video for that) then circle back to all the drills an over while incorporating arms. BLOCK ONE: Jump side arm blocks quick and aggressive  when you take off and holding until you get peak height  BLOCK TWO: Both arms come overhead and are glued by the side oh your ears with fingertips up to the sky. Holding this as the jumper travels across the air in the “chair position.”  Get more distance from your jump by practicing good arm technique in the air.   **side note, arms may look a little different depending on hitch kick or hang technique.
