The key to create this effect is to find this sweet spot where the blur matches with he text you’ve added and complements it. Uncheck the centered blur and increase its speed. 📎Create several more duplicates of the text, adjusting blur speed and end blur speed. 📎When you’re satisfied with the result, decrease the opacity on some duplicates to soften the blur path, like here. 📎From here you can finish the effect by applying the gradient that suits your path blur the best. And you can also add some textures with noise to make the effect look finished. That’s the result we’ve achieved!

📎Here’s how to create distressed text in Photoshop! Go to Filter, Distort, Ripple. Set the amount to 80%. Now, go to Blur Gallery, Field Blur. Add some blur points where they look the best. Duplicate your layer, select your layer and the background together by holding shift, and convert them to a smart object. Go to Filter Gallery and add Torn Edges and Glass effects to the layer copy. Add a texture and choose Multiply blending mode. Add another texture, reduce its opacity and switch the blending mode to color burn. Your distressed text effect is ready! Create this Sand Effect in Photoshop!✨ Add your text and convert it to a Smart Object. Duplicate it. With the lower copy selected, go to the Blur Gallery and add Path Blur. Uncheck the Centered Blur and add Blur Speed. Set the direction of the blur. Change the blending mode of both layers to Dissolve. Add a mask to the top layer and paint over the text to achieve a sand effect. Convert both layers to a Smart Object. You can also add a mask to it and remove the parts you don’t want to see. Finally, add a bit of Gaussian Blur and some color. Your Sand effect is ready!
