Nigerian Puff Puff Recipe  Ingredients:  2 cups all-purpose flour  1/2 cup sugar  1 tablespoon active dry yeast  1/2 teaspoon salt  1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)  3/4 cup warm water  Vegetable oil (for frying)  Instructions:  In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and nutmeg.  Dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.  Gradually add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix into a smooth batter.  Cover the bowl and let the batter rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.  Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.  Scoop small portions of batter and drop them into the hot oil. Recipe🔽  Yeast activation:   • 1 cup Warm Water   • 3 tbs sugar   • 2 1/4 tsp yeast   Dough:  • 2 3/3 cups flour   • 1/2 tsp salt   • 2 eggs   • 5 tbs softened butter  Step 1: Add warm water, sugar and yeast to a bowl and let the yeast activate for 10minutes.  • Step 2: Once yeast has been activated add your flour, eggs, salt and butter then kneed for 15-20 minutes until enough gluten has been formed.   • STEP 3: let the dough rest for 1 hour   • Step 4: Kneed out the dough and cut the dough into squares  • Step 5: Rest the dough for another half hour   • Step 6: once dough has been rested fry them on medium heat on each side until you get a golden brown color.  • Step 7: Let your beignets cool down a bit before adding the powdered sugar. INGREDIENTS✨
 • 1 cup warm water (110°F)
 • 1 tablespoon instant or rapid-rise yeast
 • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
 • 2 large eggs
 • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
 • 3 cups all-purpose flour
 • ¾ teaspoon salt
 • Confectioners' sugar (at least 1 cup)
 • Additional 2 quarts of vegetable oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS
 • In a large bowl, combine the water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until foamy, about 5 minutes. Whisk in the eggs and 2 tablespoons of oil into yeast mixture Add the flour, salt and stir together until well combined. The dough will be a bit sticky, that's ok. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap (sometimes lightly wetting the edge of the bowl helps the plastic wrap to stick on tightly).
