I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: texture overlays are THE easiest way to add crunchy, yummy, grainy, papery, whatevery textures to your digital art!!!! I use them for *every single drawing*. I always add a middle grey texture as the top layer and set it to ”Overlay” in the blending mode - it really adds so much texture without overly affecting the colours underneath! In a previous Idea Pin I showed you how to add a paper texture to your art and lettering in Procreate. Today, I’m going to share with you on how to add even more texture in just a couple easy steps!

Steps:
• Add a new layer above your art/lettering.
• Choose a textured brush. I’m using my Dark Sparkler Brush.
• Choose a color, I like to pick a neutral color.
• Color over your entire canvas.
• Change the layer to a Clipping Mask and you can resize it if you want.
• Then open up your Layer Menu and change the Clipping Mask’s setting to Linear Burn. You do this by tapping on the N that’s on the right of the layer name.
• I prefer to have it set to Linear Burn but you can try out different settings and even colors.
