My name is Thuc Nhi Nguyen, and I’m the Lakers beat writer for The Times.
I was born and raised in Seattle and divorced from the NBA after 2008. Moving to L.A. for work brought me back in, especially given the hold the Lakers have on this city.
I’ve covered college sports, the NFL, the WNBA, the NBA and the Olympics for The Times, and I rely on all these experiences to inform my stories. Yes, there will be some mixed sports metaphors, but I’ll make up for it with food content.
