IANSA – International Action Network on Small Arms
Eyes Down carried out a visual rebrand for IANSA, a global NGO working to reduce small arms violence. The rebrand was followed by a website redesign and a review of all branded communications.
The process
The process began with a stakeholder workshop to refresh brand values, examine audiences, explore UX and to define success metrics for the new website.
This was followed by a full visual rebrand process during which a broad range of concepts was presented to the client.
The final logo explores the shapes of a target and a globe and uses a segment of this circle in the distinctive graphical i to represent IANSA’s members. The website uses variations of the circle, target and segment shapes for texture and depth.
Creative use of imagery
With no photography available for the project, our website design makes clever use of relevant stock photography while using new brand textures and patterns to give the site a striking brand feel.
The website is powered by a custom WordPress theme which includes flexible templates that offer hundreds of page layouts. The bespoke CMS structure also allows easy management of member, resource and campaign content.
Eyes Down provides on-going reporting on success metrics and works closely with IANSA to ensure that the website continues to achieve its goals and drive IANSA forward.
The Eyes Down team spent a lot of time getting to know our organisation, our members and our work before proposing ideas for the new brand and website. Throughout the whole process Stuart was always available to answer our questions and provide updates on progress. The designer created a modern brand with continuity from our old logo and a website that effectively captures our work and is visually appealing to visitors.
The end result has really transformed IANSA and the way we work, being able to more effectively provide materials and information to our members, as well as show the full range of activities that IANSA is involved in. Thank you Eyes Down!
