'We were completely misled' - Panthers fans complain about 'offensive' article

Available for over a year

The British ice hockey world was shaken this week when an article was published in the Financial Times, attributing the rise in the popularity of ice hockey amongst female fans to a sub-genre of romance novels: the “ice-hockey romance book”. As part of the article, author Kitty Drake spoke to Nottingham Panthers fans and player Mitch Fossier, Panthers' top points scorer. Izzi Meynell is a Panthers fan whose picture appeared in the article. She feels the article has portrayed fans in a bad light, and spoke to Arun Verma about the situation.
