So Jayden Daniels made his return from a knee injury.

He's been out the last couple of weeks.

The Commanders were without Terry McLaurin.

They didn't have Noah Brown, but no Terry, no Noah, no problem for the Washington Commanders.

They handed the Chargers their second consecutive loss, 27 to 10, a pretty convincing victory for Washington, and Jayden Daniels is even recovering from an injury.

He played with a brace on his knee, and he talked about how he's been practicing with it.

He said the brace on his knee has been bothering him a little bit, but he's saying, hey, look, whatever I have to do to be able to get back out there and to get back to 100%, even with all of that, maybe knocking a little bit of rust off after being on the bench over the last couple of weeks, he was absolutely fantastic.

He looked like Jayden Daniels.

He looked like how I think every Commanders fan would want their starting quarterback to look: 15 to 26, 231 yards, a touchdown, no interceptions, and of course, added 40 yards on the ground as well, because that's just what Jayden Daniels does.

I mean, and it wasn't just Jayden Daniels in the run game.

The Commanders were running all over that Chargers defense, and it was headlined by none other than, I'm sure we all guessed it, the seventh-round rookie Jacori Krosky Merritt.

He had over 100 yards on the ground.

He added 40 through the air.

He also took a direct snap.

I mean, he did everything yesterday for the Washington Commanders.

Good win for the Commanders, getting back on track and getting healthy at the most important positions, and even doing it without Terry McLaurin.

But for the Chargers, on the other hand, sloppy, sloppy, sloppy turnovers, penalties, the offensive line couldn't protect Justin Herbert.

The offensive line couldn't open up running holes, and hey, maybe that's a lesson to us all.

Offensive lines are important.

And I'm sure that has to be frustrating for a Chargers organization that came in at the season thinking that they had two left tackles and Rashawn Slater, who, of course, went down with a season-ending injury in training camp.

Joe Alt moved over from the right side to the left side, but he has been out with an injury, and without those two, this Chargers offensive line is struggling big time.

Justin Herbert was sacked four times.

He had one big run, but outside of that, the running backs could not get anything going.

So a frustrating day and a frustrating couple of weeks for this injury-riddled Chargers squad.
