Where's the game where the losing fan base is falling off a cliff?
The answer to that is Baton Rouge.
In Baton Rouge, if South Carolina loses a year where they thought they were gonna go to the playoffs, they will be out of the playoff mix in week 2 of October.
Meanwhile, if LSU loses, they will not be out of the playoffs, but that will be the moment where 100% of the fan base turns on Brian Kelly.
That's a juicy game, boys.
Yeah, there's a couple of them too, right?
There's one in Auburn, I'm sure we'll get to as well, where like either one of the fan bases lose and uh it's fire the coach immediately where we stink.
And obviously all eyes, I feel like, uh are all on what's going on with Garret Nessmeyer.
Is he hurt?
How hurt is he?
He's one of the top maybe six or top five preseason Heisman quarterback sort of guys, uh, that are not playing very well, right, or as well as we all thought they were playing.
So, I mean, the latest we got from Brian Kelly, I think last week was, um, Garret Nessmeyer has an abdominal injury, but it's not the core.
It's an oblique injury.
I've had about three people who work in strength and conditioning text me about this watching them, watching him play.
He made some poor decisions throwing the ball, especially against Ole Miss, like, his oblique has nothing to do with like, oh, the safety rolled that way and you threw it that way anyway.
Uh, he is, you can tell by the trajectory of the ball and the lack of speed, just so the ball's inability to get there quickly.
He is not, he doesn't have torque.
This happens in baseball a lot.
Um, it happens to the best athletes in baseball when they pull up on a check swing, happens to catchers a lot for reasons you can sort of understand the way you'd rotate your body.
Who's their backup?
And is he the worst quarterback in Division One football?
Because the insistence on riding with this dude, when your run game sucks all year, has been a basic question that Brian Kelly has exploded at, and it's probably gonna cost him a season or the season they expected.
