Over 17 years since the cancellation of MonsterVision, Joe Bob Briggs stated that Shudder had shown some interest in reviving the series. This ultimately resulted in Joe Bob's return to television in a new program for the Shudder TV live feed.

Beginning on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 9 PM ET / 6 PM PT, Shudder premiered The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs, a roughly 26-hour and 35-minute block featuring 13 of the greatest horror movies of all time as chosen by Briggs himself.
