We indeed depend on the release of DoctrineBundle 3.1 here (see doctrine/DoctrineBundle#1910 (comment)). As a workaround you can do the following: symfony new project-name
cd project-name
composer require doctrine/doctrine-bundle:^3.1@dev symfony/orm-pack
composer require symfony/webapp-pack |

DoctrineBundle 3.1 is released so the workaround shouldn't be necessary anymore. |
