I am looking into a possible article for an obscure folkloric critter (sandbox here) and have gotten as far as finding four sources courtesy of the Russian and Polish Wikipedias. I only need screenshots of the relevant entry from each book; I can use DeepL to translate afterwards (though if a native speaker of either language does it here instead, I would be very grateful).
Notice: starting 6 February and for (hopefully only) two weeks, I will be in a location without regular internet access and working long hours, so replies during that time may be delayed. Thanks, SilverTiger12 (talk) 00:23, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I'm working on Odin (Sandbox) and can't find the text of this lecture anywhere. I know a written version was produced because several scholars have cited it in their own work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, — ImaginesTigers (talk) 22:13, 3 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Dentsinhere43 just pinging in case you didn't see the link I left above. I think it's pretty unlikely that Bill Palmer has a publication by this name. You might look at some of his listed 2010-2015 publications to see if any might be related to the project and have information you could use. Eddie891TalkWork08:04, 25 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Fortuna imperatrix mundi: Hello! Well, I do have been checking this page from time to time to see if there is an update, so indeed yes. But if it is difficult to get, I totally understand that I may have to let this one go. But thanks for asking regardless :) JovianEclipse22:53, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Did you see this? Not the article in question, but that article is included in the bibliography of this book, and is written by the same author. Probably has the same information. Kylemahar902 (talk) 23:50, 7 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I never seem to have access to these, even through TWL. But if anyone else does, any chance of ctrl+f "ambassadeurs", for continuing work on the eponymous article? I don't think there should be that many hits, but I'm led to understand she goes into more detail in the thesis than her later published work. Many thanks in advance! Is there any way I can borrow this book, for a month or so, from a library (digital or hardcopy)? If WP:RX is not the correct forum for that kind of query, let me know.
This book is available electronically from many university libraries but not commercially. Could someone with academic access get the following chapters for me: "Ethnic Germans in the early USSR", "The deportation", and "Conclusion".
As that's 2 pretty substantive chapters (~1/4 of the book's length) (conclusion is only 2 pp), I wouldn't feel comfortable sending both, as UK copyright law is pretty clear about a 1 chapter / 5% limit. But if there is one you want more than the other, I could send it. Eddie891TalkWork07:30, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
For Draft:Dale A. Zimmerman, a draft I am writing. I believe this is his doctoral thesis, and I am hoping I can use it to find more information about his work. A PDF of the thesis can be downloaded for University of Michigan users from the DOI or Handle.
Thanks, BhamBoi (talk) 05:59, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If it is not possible to share the entire thesis, I was hoping the front matter or indices can provide some biographical information on Zimmerman and/or a name for who his advisor was. BhamBoi (talk) 06:01, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks all, I can see the front matter through the ProQuest preview. I didn't previously have a link to the thesis on ProQuest, so thanks for sending that in! BhamBoi (talk) 23:33, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Interestingly, no matter how I search for it or which account I use to search, this thesis does not come up on ProQuest. Thank you, then, @Bruce1ee for the direct link! BhamBoi (talk) 23:35, 19 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Wilkinson, Endymion (2022). Chinese History, Volume 1: A New Manual, Enlarged Sixth Edition (Fiftieth Anniversary Edition) (6th ed.). Harvard University Asia Center. ISBN9780674260184.
For MOS:JG. I am researching whether Wikipedia should allow Chinese calendar dates and, if not, how they should best be converted into Julian/Gregorian dates. My notes are at User:Toadspike/Lunisolar research. I specifically would like any excerpts from this book about the Calendar – in the 4th edition, which I have access to, Chapter 39 (pp. 492–532) is about the Chinese calendar; this is likely similar in the 6th edition. Most important to me are the sections about Chronologies & Calendrical Concordances (Chapter 39.13 in the 4th edition) and the section Calendrical Difficulties (Chapter 39.5 in the 4th edition); these two sections should total about three pages. Also interesting would be to read SS.8 Calendar Dates, page xix in the fourth edition, which discusses this book's own practices on date formats.
I looked through Sukuki (2014) in person at my library and didn't find any mention of Ambassadeurs in the index toward the back, nor did I spot it after skimming through all the pictures in the book. Sorry to disappoint! Bsoyka (t • c • g) 21:08, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For Volimidia, in press at User:UndercoverClassicist/Volimidia. It's fairly widely cited, though I can't find it online, so I'm hoping that someone's university library will have it. Url isn't the text, sadly, but does have a picture of what the thing looks like.
